Dallas asked me to go out with him today for a picnic at the park. I put on these cute plaid shorts with a black belt and a grey t-shirt. I put on my converse as usual and did very light and simple makeup. I ran downstairs and ran straight into Suzy, "hey sorry I'm meeting Dally outside in like seconds!" I fused my sentence.
"Alright have fun Cal." Suzy said and walked up the stairs as Anthony came down.
"Cali! Cali! Are you going to the park?" Anthony my cousin asked. I rolled my eyes and stared at him.
"Yes I am but big kids only!" I ran out the door and instead of running into Suzy this time I ran into a big muscular body. I looked up and seen Dally. "Frick I need the basket!" I ran back inside and searched frantically for the basket consisting of all of the food and two cokes. I ran back outside and seen Dally patiently waiting smoking his cancer stick.
"Hey baby girl long time no see." He smiled at me then pulled me into a light kiss.
"Hey handsome. To the park?" I asked. We both interlocked fingers and walked to the park. The park was literally two streets away but Dally decided to take this detour around some pretty water. There was a huge forest and pond but we didn't want to get lost and not be able to go to the park.
We walked a couple more minutes and then ended up at the small run down park but still highly functional. "Swings?" I asked with a goofy smile.
"Sure swings." He chuckled his cute Dally chuckle. I placed some the basket and ran like a dork to the swings and Dakky trailed behind me just laughing at me. I sat on one swing and he sat on the other then we held hands we both started to swing making sure we were both at the same spot. It was already pretty late in the afternoon when we left so after the detour now the sun was setting as we swung hand in hand.
Everything was all peachy until I felt a strong hand on my right shoulder knowing it wasn't Dally I elbowed him right in the gut hoping he wasn't someone from the gang. The man winced in pain then fell to the floor. He definitely wasn't from the gang he was wearing a plaid vest with khakis. Dally instantly got up and ran over to the boy and punched him twice in the face.
"Don't you touch her!" Dally screamed in his face then kicked him. The guy struggled to get up but when he finally he did he got away from us as fast as possible. As soon as the guy left Dally turned to me, "are you okay princess?" He moved a piece of my hair that was dangling in my face to behind my ear. "I won't let anyone hurt you baby girl. You deserve the world and that's what I'm going to try to give you."
I shyly smiled, "Thanks dal I love you so much." I leaned in and kissed his face so passionately. He was shocked but kissed back.
"I love you too! Now let's eat." He said taking my hand and leading me to underneath a tree. He pulled out a red and white checkered silky blanket and laid it underneath the tree. He pulled out two sandwiches from the bag and pulled out our coke as well. He handed me my drink and my sandwich.
"Here baby girl." He said with a large smile. This is the happiest I seen Dally. He always had this look on his face that made him seem down. When I first met him his face only filled with anger and his eyes pure hatred. But now looking at him tonight I see a new Dally. A Dally who smiles and laughs at the good moments. Eyes that can fill with joy but still have there cold tint. He looked like he could finally be happy.
"What are you staring at?" He asked with a genuine smile.
"Your cute self." I smiled and leaned into cuddle with him.
That's what we did we sat there and cuddled. Dally would randomly call me beautiful as we sat there embracing each other's presence. Dally was playing with my hair the whole time. At one point I taught him how to braid. It was extremely hard. Dally didn't understand why there needed to be three pieces for the longest time.
It was now extremely dark and dally and I were just staring at the stars lying down on our backs. I rested my head on his chest and then drifted off to a nice peaceful sleep.
