"If I have to listen to you whining one more time, I'm going to rip your head off." Theodore looked over at Robin, unamused. Theodore was sat in his windowsill, legs outstretched in front of him. Robin was laid on his bed, legs over one edge and head and shoulders over the other. They'd just gotten back from school.

"Listen, fucker, no-one will employ me!" Robin looked at him blankly. "I mean. I keep handing out my CV everywhere but will anyone employ me? No,"

Robin raised an eyebrow, expression still blank. "D'you ever stop and think it's maybe because you're ugly?"

"Have you ever stopped to think that maybe you're a dick?" Theodore retorted. Robin scoffed but had a sort of smile on her face. "You hear about the mall?"

She nodded, rolling her eyes. "Because that'll be a good idea. Think it'll make Hawkins look like a typical teen movie?" Theodore looked over at her and the two shared a laugh. "Man, nothing ever happens here, it would be nice if something like that did happen,"

Theodore shook his head, huffing a quiet laugh. Nothing exciting ever happened in Hawkins. The most that had happened was that one time Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers got into a fight. Theodore couldn't even remember why they'd fought, but knew that Jonathan had ended up in brief police custody and had gotten away mostly unscathed.

Theodore didn't really interact with either of those guys.

"Made friends with Tammy yet?" Theodore asked, changing the subject.

"Made friends with Steve yet?" Theodore raised his middle finger at her. "And no, I haven't. I shouldn't have told you about that,"

Theodore made a noise in the back of his throat. "Who else is there to talk about this stuff? Just me. Just you."

"But all you wanna talk about is what I specifically do not want to talk about." Robin sighed and turned over so that the blood stopped rushing to her head. "Have you done the homework?" At Theodore's nod, Robin started rifling through his bag. "I'm gonna copy it,"

"And get us both in shit? Also no idea what question six is, so you're out of luck on that," he said. He opened the window and let some fresh air in. "You're stinking up my room," he told her.

Robin ignored him. She was good at ignoring him.

Theodore pulled a face at her, then shut his eyes, letting the cool air wash over him. He was just thankful it was a Friday. Theodore didn't want to deal with Tommy H or Carol or any of those other assholes for a few days.

"He's gonna graduate this year," Robin said conversationally. "Not gonna make your move?"

"Rob I swear I'm gonna stab you." She made a noise that sounded like she didn't believe him. "Besides. Steve is straight -"
