Dustin reached it first, swearing as he pulled it off and hung up on the person. Steve put a hand on his bat, maybe out of nerves at the same time as Theodore grabbed his bow. The phone rang again, and then Nancy ripped it off the wall.

"Do you think he heard that?" Max asked, and Theodore looked over at her like Steve did.

"It's just a phone. It could be anywhere, right?"

"But that's his house phone. He'd recognise that anywhere." Theodore looked around at them. "I think we're in deep shit."

"The tunnels!" Dustin said, pointing a finger at Theodore as it clicked into place. "He's using the tunnels to try and get to us."

Theodore nodded his agreement, and they heard screeching. The six of them moved into the living room, where they could see in the direction it was coming from. Theodore took out his bow, nocking an arrow in place as Steve put a tighter grip on his bat, prepping himself for what was about to happen. Hopper, Jonathan, Joyce and Will appeared, with Jonathan carrying Will's unconscious body with him, into one of the bedrooms.

"Hey, hey get away from the windows!" Hopper said as he got into view, carrying a big gun that Theodore didn't know the names of, and Theodore offered up his own gun. Hopper took it and turned around and asked Jonathan if he knew how to use the gun. Nancy stepped up and said she could. "You any good with that bow of yours?" Hopper asked, pointing a finger at Theodore.

"Yeah,"

Hopper, Steve, Theodore and Nancy got into position, the kids, Jonathan and Joyce behind them. The screeching got louder and louder. They could hear the dogs around them. Theodore drew the arrow, anchoring it in place, following the sound of the dogs.

"Where are they?"

There was a screech, and they all turned in the direction of it.

"What are they doing?"

"Being dicks," Theodore replied, hearing the snarls, the running.

But then the monsters started groaning, and a few crashes were made before complete silence. And then one was promptly thrown through the window. They all screamed, stepping forwards to look at it. It was dead.

Theodore turned his bow to the front door as it started to open by itself. He lowered the bow when Hopper lowered his gun and the young girl stepped inside. She looked grunge-punk, with her hair gelled back, makeup on her eyes, blood coming from her nose.

"Eleven?"

"Mike."

Theodore felt awkward as the two tweens reunited, and he looked over at Steve, who looked about as confused as he did. "She's still got a better name than you, Theo," Steve said, and didn't manage to dodge the elbow that got jabbed into his ribs.
