Theodore grimaced as he moved through the crowds. So far, he had avoided Robin successfully. But there was only time before he was going to find her in one of their classes; damn her for being able to choose higher level classes. He'd not brought the topic up to Steve; he'd feel bad about not knowing.

They hadn't really shared that type of information - knowing each other's birthdays - it just ... hadn't been important to know. But Theodore had known when Steve's birthday was; his mom kept reminding him about it because she was annoying like that.

Finally getting to his class - physics - he found Robin sitting there expectantly. "Can you shut the fuck up?" he asked before she could get a word in edgewise. He moved over and sat in the free seat next to her. "Not today. It's different,"

Robin nodded her head, but there was something in her eyes as she looked at him. "Are you going after?"

"Yeah. Mom's working late though, so I'm probably gonna walk or get a bus." Theodore pulled out his textbook and notebook and pens, automatically handing a pen over to Robin who took it without thanking him.

"Get Steve to take you?" she suggested, looking at him like that was the obvious answer.

Theodore looked over at her, eyebrow raised. "Oh, yeah, that'll be great: 'hey, Steve, mind taking me to the cemetery? Only, it's my brother's birthday and I have to take some flowers to his grave.' Yeah, that'd go down well."

Robin scoffed, shoving at his arm. "Not if you say it like that, dingus." She looked back as the teacher tried to calm their class down. She lowered her voice. "Just ask. Better than having to get a bus."

"But then that means he's gonna ask about it. It's bad enough having to be at school for it, let alone having to ask him for a ride." Theodore opened up his notebook, glancing up at the teacher before he started writing what was on the board.

"Sidenote - how the fuck are you able to go on and do shit like astrophysics when we have shit teachers?" Robin asked as she copied Theodore's notes.

Theodore shrugged. "Because I enjoy it and want to scare people with the knowledge we have of the universe. Though ... not sure what path I'll go down."

"Me and you both, Theodore,"

Theodore put down his tray of food, sitting down next to Steve. Robin was across from them, a look on her face that told Theodore she was going to be up to no good, as per usual. Dustin had joined them, and kept looking between Theodore and Steve with a weird look on his face.

Steve stabbed what was supposed to be a potato onto his fork as Robin rifled through her bag. Theodore gave her a tired look. He knew where this was going; he'd known her for so long, he knew she was going to do this.
