Chapter 57. A new voice

Phana's POV

'P'Pha! P'Kit and I have been kidnapped, together with other students we can't find. This place looks old and kind of run down, i'm pretty sure we are underground as well. There are no windows to be found. I don't know if this helps but i think it's that organization. Phi please help us!'

'Yo! Yo! Hello?!'

"FUCK!"

"Pha what happened?" Pa asked frantically next to me. 

"Yo was able to contact me but i lost connection with him after he finished his sentence."

"What did he tell you? Anything to help us find him?"

"He said the organization took him, Kit and some other students but they can't find those. They are in a place that is pretty old and run down, maybe abandoned even. It's underground probably since there are no windows...that's all he could tell me."

"Underground? Sunz honey, do you think they could be..."

"They wouldn't be dumb enough would they?"

"I don't know, we left a lot of things behind..."

"Pa, dad what are you talking about?"

"I think this is very unlikely....but, there is a possibility that they took them to their old hideout. The one we found you in Pha." Pa said with a sigh and Dad vanished into thin air. 

"Don't you have any surveillance around that area?"

"Phana...It's been almost 15 years since that hideout got raided by the council. We don't think anyone would dare to be stupid enough and go back there." In barely a minute dad came back, sweating and breathless.

"Dad? Are you okay?" I stood up from my seat and went to look over my dad.

"I found them. Gump those assholes really want to play. They are at their old base, i sensed at least 5 people in the building, Yo clearly being one of them."

"And P'Kit?"

"Don't worry Ming, Kit is right next to him."

"Let's hurry then! Dad bring us there."

"There is a problem. The whole area is surrounded by some aura that drains and nullifies your magic. I got out of there just in time before i would be stuck there. We need something to deal with them without magic."

"I'll just beat them to death, i don't need any magic for that..." I ground my teeth. Now that we knew where Yo was and he was together with Kit only anger stayed in my body.

"I'm up for that." My dad smiled, still trying to catch his breath.

"Guys, what if there are more people. If they have back up from a different location i doubt barbaric strength will do much."

"Yo was able to use his magic somewhere in the building. Which means there should be spots where we could use it as well."

"Fine! I don't want to think about a plan for too long. I just want my son-in-law and my students back." Pa admitted and walked towards us. "Sunz let's go." Dad pecked Pa on the cheek before bringing us, Ming and Forth with him. Beam, Park, Copper, Pong & Suthee would stay behind to take care of the students and captives until two of the council members arrived. Hopefully we could have Yo back before then. I want to personally finish off every single one of those bastards.

'Phana...Yo will be fine.'

'How do you know for sure Chaos, we don't know what they will do to Yo.'

'Because it's almost his time.'

'His time? His time for what?' 

And he stopped responding. Yo's time is coming? He doesn't mean that Yo is going to die right?! No, Chaos would never be this calm if Yo was going to die.

Wayo's POV

"T-Thanit? W-weren't you supposed to be dead?" I mumbled after he told us his name.

"Oh. So Phana did tell you something about me." He said with suprise and ended his sentence with a smile, a smile way less malicious than i thought it would be.

"You see Wayo, originally i was supposed to be an experiment subject as well. However my magic was already starting to manifest so it was already to late for those scientist to experiment on me. Their experimentations were horrible, yet their goal intrigued me. They wanted to manipulate the magical properties of children to give them the strongest magic."

"Don't you think that is wrong? Why are you so interested about it?" Kit questioned, causing Thanit to sigh again.

"I knew Phana was the child that the council saved when i met him, how could i not. It was on the news almost every day for a month after the raid. So i wanted to befriend him since i knew how awful his childhood was. I could've been the same, i was just very lucky. And seeing Phana like that made me think the scientists were actually on to something."

"After almost dying, i was rescued and survived but i asked some people to hide this from my family and classmates. Instead i traveled the world and looked for a way to take revenge on the organization but also use their research in a better way. It took me 10 years before i found the most effecient way. So Yo, Kit. I need your help now to finish my research." He ended his story darkly and roots took hold on Kit's and my arms and legs, tying us down. 

Thanit pressed a button and a side of the wall opened up, revealing 3 different kinds of capsules.

"The most efficient way wasn't to experiment on children. It was to extract the magic out of the adults." He stated and the vines moved us closer towards the capsules as Kit and I continued to struggle.

"Thanit don't do this! You're P'Pha's friend!"

"Friend? Tsk...I know i'm not his friend..." He seemed unmoved by my pleading, i tried to do everything i could, try and contact P'Pha, pull out with my own strength and use my own magic, but nothing was remotely working. I don't want this to be the end of me. I can't leave my friends like this, i can't let my brother die with me. I don't want to leave P'Pha's side.

'Then don't.' a voice spoke in my head.

'P'Pha?!'

'No child, it's not Phana.'

'Then who are you? How are we even talking? This isn't my subconscious telling me i am going insane right?' I stammered and the female voice started chuckling.

'There is no time my little prince. You are ready to use my powers. Use it and get out of this bind to return to your destined one.'

'How am i supposed to do that?' I suddenly felt a wave of dizziness before it faded. As i blinked my vision started changing. The contact lenses on my eyes were burned away and my vision was clearer than ever.

'The contract is complete my child. Feel the energy inside you collecting and release it!' The voice gently commanded. I tried to do as told, feeling a strange energy boiling inside of me before releasing it with a shout. The whole room was filled with a blinding light and all i could hear was screaming, but i don't know who it was coming from...
