Untitled Part 5

Stephen and I walked around. I held onto Winters leash and she happily walked. 

We talked about random stuff. Just walking and talking.

Winter stopped and looked around. Stephen looked at Winter with a strange look. I just tightened my grip on the leash. 

"She hears something," I said quietly. Next thing I knew she took off sprinting in a random direction, sending me flying along with her. I bumped into Stephen but she continued dragging me. 

"Sorry Stephen!" I said quickly as she dragged me away from him. 

I tried stopping her but she was to strong. Finally I saw that she was chasing this obese squirrel. 

Oh dear...

The squirrel ran out into the middle of the road. 

Winter rushed after it. 
"WINTER NO!" I screamed. 

I felt hands wrap around my waist and pull me back. I looked up to see Stephen reaching over and pulling Winter back. She looked up and ran behind him. I fell Into his chest but this time he just held me close to him. 

"Let's not go through this again," He said as he held me with one hand and her leash with another. "Seriously though how weak are you?" 

"Very, but she's also very strong," 

He rolled his eyes. Winter ran circles around us. I looked at her. 

"This is new," I mumbled. 

I suddenly realized how close Stephen and I were. My chest was against him, if I lowered my face any further then it would be in his chest. I looked up to see that his face was only inches away from me. 

I grew flustered quickly and tried backing away until I realized I couldn't move away, Winter had wrapped the leash around us. 

We laughed awkwardly as we untangled ourselves from the leash. Winter just sat there panting as she watched us struggle. We finally got untangled. 

"I wonder how she managed to do that before either one of us realized," Stephen said. 

"Yeah, she's never done this though so I wasn't expecting it," I explained. 

We walked for a bit longer until we had done a large circle and arrived back at Dan's house.

I unleashed Winter and watched her run over to Dan and Hosuh who sat watching TV on the couch. 

"We have returned!" I announced. I threw myself down onto the couch, landing slightly on Dan but not enough to be on top of him. 

"Hey Y/n I was wondering if you'd like to help me cook dinner tonight?" Hosuh asked. My eyes lit up as I looked at him. 

"Definitely Hosuh!" I smiled brightly. 

Stephen's POV

I walked over and sat down next to Hosuh. 

Winter walked over and set her head on my lap as she looked up at me in the eyes. 

"She really likes you," Y/n's voice said. I looked up and saw she was smiling softly as she looked at Winter. I looked down at Winter who still was watching me. 

I may be going crazy but, did she mean to do that?

I remembered how she had wrapped the leash around me and Y/n. She had taken the opportunity to do it while I had Y/n close to me. 

I remember looking down to see her face just inches from me, it was slightly pinkish. 

She looked so cute like that.

I was brought back into reality after Winter stopped looking at me and then walked over to Hosuh and began acting like a cat and rubbing herself on his leg. He began petting her happily. 

I looked over at Y/n who was now looking at her phone.
