I sat down watching It while snacking on some candy and microwaved popcorn.

"They are so gay, I love it..." I said as I shoved popcorn into my mouth.

"You are so weird..." Dan mumbled through facetime on my phone.

"Shut up! I live for the gaaaay!" I said throwing a piece of popcorn at the phone, hitting the camera. Dan just laughed.

"Well you just called me, then turned a movie on and started talking to me about either how gay Richie and Eddie are or how gay you are for Beverly!" Dan pointed out.

"Can I not try to watch a movie with a friend?" I asked.

"You can... but-"

"What are you watching? Who are you talking to?" My mom asked walking into the living room. I silently groaned as I paused the movie.

"I'm watching a movie, I'm talking to Dan..." I told her.

She looked at my phone.

"Hey Daniel!" She waved.

"Hello Mrs. l/n!" Dan smiled.

"You should invite Jack over to watch the movie with you!"

Jack would just judge me... and if he's the same from high school, he wouldn't appreciate my comments about the movie.

"I don't even know where Jack is." I lied. He left a little bit before I started watching the movie, saying that he was going to meet up with some old friends from high school. I personally didn't care as long as they didn't come here with him.

"Wait Jack? You mean the guy you went to school with?" Dan asked.

"That's him..." I mumbled.

"He's definitely as attractive as he was in high school." Mom added.

I shook my head.

"So he's staying at your house?" Dan questioned.

"Sadly..."

"Y/n!" Mom snapped.

"Sorry... but you didn't even like him when we went to school with each other!"

"Then I found your old diary." She smirked.

I froze.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, was all I could think. What the hell did she read?! Dan started dying of laughter. He knew exactly what my mom was hinting at, we both knew.

"What ever you read-" I went to say but got cut off by her.

"You really did like Jack didn't you? Pages and pages of talking about how you liked him and wanted to confess!"

"MOM!"

Dan was just dying of laughter at my embarrassment.

"Why didn't you two ever start dating?" She asked.

"He didn't like me back!" I snapped. I turned to my phone. "You're really enjoying this aren't you Dan?!" I snapped at him. He tried to say something but couldn't stop laughing, so he just nodded. I groaned as I turned to my mom.

"How do you know? You two walked home  a lot!"

"Did you read the entire diary?"

"No."

"If you did, then you would know I confessed and he basically rejected me."

"In a hilarious way!" Dan added.
