"Thought so."

-8 Days Remaining-
-Ice Rink Date-

Holed roads and gravel shook the car every so often as they drove to one of what would be their last dates. Moonbin was a bit irked by it, but Dongmin seemed as un-phased as ever. He appeared to be distracted from the bumps as his eyes were pointed to the clouds in the blue sky, face practically stuck to the window. He had been staring for so long, in fact, that the driver began to worry something was wrong.

"Do you see something?" Moonbin wondered aloud.

The older hummed, but the pinkette couldn't tell if it meant yes, he did indeed see something, or no, he was simply peering up at the sky as any other person would. Dongmin leaned back from the clear glass, yet didn't turn away. "No, I didn't see something. I'm just... fascinated, I guess." His words came out softly, and Moonbin knew his mind wasn't on the things he was saying, but rather what he had been focused on for so long.

"Fascinated?" Curiosity painted its way across the younger's defined features, now fixated on his friend's next words rather than the road in front of him. "About what?" His eyes still watched for any cars near them--he knew they wouldn't crash--but he was enthralled more with the fact Dongmin was actually fascinated with something for once. "Have you never seen a blue sky before?"

Dongmin scoffed, laughing off the comment. "That's not it. Just, we're moving along the road while the clouds give the impression of staying stagnant above us. And, right now, we're not looking directly up at them, we're at an angle; I can clearly see the layers and layers of clouds, and it's just... it's just interesting. There's a very simple beauty about it. It's nice to look at," he explained. He turned to his friend, eyes imprinted with the reflection of every cloud that remained floating overhead. "Y'know?"

Moonbin chuckled and took a slight intake of breath. He knew what it felt like. He knew all too well. "I suppose I know." He spared a quick glance up to the sky. "But it's not the sky that gives me that feeling."

"What does?" Dongmin asked in return, eyebrows furrowed lightly.

"It's uh..." It's you. "You don't need to know." Before the other could say anything else, Moonbin quickly followed his last statement with, "Oh look, we're here!"

The older was left dumbfounded, jaw hung open. "Did you really just--"

"Yes, yes I did," Moonbin interjected. He hurriedly, yet not sloppily, parked in a free spot and opened his door. "Now, let's go." He stepped out of the vehicle, stretched, then beckoned Dongmin over to his side.

"You took us ice skating? In the middle of summer?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Is wanting to spend time with you a good enough excuse?"

The older's eyes narrowed. "Sure."

With that, the pair headed inside. Half of the room was a dedicated coffee/snack shop, while the other half was meant solely for storing helmets and skates. Racks lined the walls, supplying the skates with somewhere to stay. The helmets were placed on set of shelves behind the main desk where an employee sat, mind out of this world.
