I had never been a morning person. Especially on weekdays; my poor mama would do anything in her power to get me out of bed for school. But I would never budge, always saying "five more minutes".

Those five minutes usually turned to thirty.

And the same was now, as I laid in my bed groaning at Levi's obnoxious alarm clock beeping in the background. I had been dreaming nicely, thinking about said handsome man, when he ruins it. He ruins it all by having that stupid alarm clock.

Now, it would be okay if the gorgeous roommate of mine would turn the damn thing off, but he wouldn't. This man refused to let me sleep in. The audacity of this man, thinking I should wake up at an appropriate time for "work".

"You know, scientists say your body should get at least eight hours of sleep. I had been put under a study once to see how long I would typically sleep in a week, and every night was less than five hours. Of course this was during school, but I learned a valuable lesson. To always get lots of sleep. That's why I was able to get a medical excuse if I was ever late to classes or fell asleep, because medically I wasn't sleeping long enough," I told Levi as I sat up, hair an absolute mess. My shirt was sprawled on the ground (I don't know how it happened).

"In sorry what?" He asked, looking over his shoulder in bewilderment. His shirt was also off, which definitely sent blood rushing to both my face and personal region.

"Then again, anthropologically speaking, ancient people's would usually sleep once the sun set to sun rise. They would work hours upon hours just to go back to sleep and work all over again. At least now we have some choice in what we do, even if it involves getting stuck at a stupid Camp," I said again, one of my hands combings it's way through my messy hair. I felt like a mess, but at least my brain was still functioning properly.

"Eren...why are you speaking so scientifically?" He asked, fully turning around. He was also putting his shirt on at the time, but that didn't mean I wasn't not able to get a glimpse at his stomach (which, might I add, was toned and muscular).

"That's what I do," I said shrugging, walking over to my own clothes and grabbing a shirt and shorts.

After the both of us finished changing, we walked together to the main hall building. There was small talk between us, mainly just about dreading the day ahead. As soon as the doors to the building came into view, I was so unbelievably happy. Of course, it just so happened that our cabin was the absolute farthest away from the main building. It was also the most secluded, making me worried about what Petra was planning.

"Morning boys!" She greeted, her smile bright and warm. She looked like she had drank multiple cups of coffee (which was most likely the case knowing her). I only smiled back before sitting at a table, Levi following me. We only knew each other so far (and i really hoped no one would try and steal Mr. Handsome from me).

"There aren't that many other counselors..." Levi mumbled, looking around the fairly empty room. I took notice of the lack of people, and also felt a little worried. Where they actually having the camp this year?

"Yeah, you would think more people would sign up to be counselors," I said. He only nodded before looking around the room again. The two of us stayed in a comfortable silence before Petra decided to open that mouth of hers again.

"Hello everyone and welcome to Camp Shiganshina! I am the director of the camp,Petra Ral, and hope you all have had a nice night. I know I said most things last night, and I won't bore you all again, but I would like to mention the elephant in the room. Not many children had signed up for camp this year, causing me to have to cut some of the counselors. We can't have more counselors than children, so that means we have to change things this year.

"Instead of the typical camp experience, I will be assigning you all groups of children. There will be three groups with two counselors each. Fairly simple? For those of you who stayed the night, your cabin mate will be the other counselor you will be working with. In case you showed up today, I have a list I can share about who is working with who:

Eren Jaeger and Levi Ackerman

Jean Kirchstein and Marco Bott

Annie Leonhart and Sasha Braus."

Petra smiled brightly at everyone before stepping aside from the table she was at and showing it off.

"Come up here and get your counselor shirts; the children will be showing up within an hour or two!" She waved her hands excitedly, giggling before walking off to the side. The six people, including myself, all walked up and grabbed the shirts.

The shirts themselves were a light sky blue colour, the name Camp Shiganshina was written at the top with the Camp's logo underneath. On the back was the word COUNSELOR in big bold black letters. Honestly, it looked exactly the same as it had ten years ago.

"Hey Levi, you excited to be working with me all summer?" I asked, making my way over to him with a big smile. He rolled his eyes and sighed, obviously getting a little fed up with my antics.

"As excited as I can get, Eren," he answered truthfully. We walked back to the table we were originally sitting at. During our idle and mindless chatter, a hand slammed down next to me.

"Good Lord, what is your problem!" I yelled out, freaking out over the loud noise. I had a really shitty childhood and something's happened to cause PTSD, and loud noises like that sometimes cause an attack.

"Nothing. Names Jean, little freckled Jesus over here was wanting to say hello to everyone," the man responded, sitting his body next to mine. I wouldn't have minded if he didn't happen to remind me of a horse.

"Actually..." I started, staring right at horse-mans friend. I could tell me was getting very uncomfortable with my staring. "Unless this man has the ability to turn water to wine and have an infinite amount of bread on him at all times then there's no way he could be Jesus. Reports of people from those times often told stories of Jesus having much longer hair and a beard. That makes lots of sense for the time, seeing as shaving and cutting hair wasn't all too common. Anthropologically speaking, the middle East also had much darker skin due to the absorbtion of the suns rays. Their bodies, over time, grew a type of immunity to give that darker flow to the skin. It eventually became a natural thing as human evolution progressed. By the time Jesus had been born, people were cultivating and making the world better than it once was. Then again, this was centuries ago so I don't have a full disclosure of anything that might have been going on.

"And also, whose to say Jesus wasn't actually just a multitude of different people. Brothers, perhaps? Either way, your friend doesn't look like the Jesus persona that people talked about fondly in biblical times," I sipped on my hot cup of black tea and watched Jean and Marco both have a look of utter confusion on their faces. I laughed slightly, putting my tea down, and turned back to Levi. He almost looked impressed in how easily I got the newcomers to shut up.

"Does he always do that?" Marco whispered to Levi, the latter nodding his head with a painful expression. I laughed again, playfully slapping Levi's hand at his rude attempt to make me sound like a bad person. I'm honestly not, just brutally honest and very logical/scientific.

"I'm sorry, did I use too many complex words? I honestly didn't think I had, but different people all have different forms of a word vocabulary. Depending on where someone grew up can heavily effect the way they talk and understand words and their surroundings. If they grew up-" Levi had stood up and dragged me from my seat, stopping myself from going on an evolutional rant. Well, not a rant more of a lecture. He had a tight hold of my hand and wasn't letting go any time soon.

I could get used to holding hands with a hottie like Levi.
