"A car wreck?" Kris exclaimed. "I didn't know about that."
"It wasn't a big one. And that was only the start of all the action."
"You always get the exciting bits," Dwayne added, "Nothing like that happened to the rest of us, not until way later."
"She's the best at fighting things," Destinee explained, as if that was any kind of answer. "If you'd been in a crash, you'd probably have been stuck there until somebody pulled you out. We were all where we needed to be, I think. Anyway, we got some excitement too. You saved me, remember?"
"I just did what I had to do." He smiled, and launched right back into his story.
