Hiyaaaaaa
Told ha I'd update soon!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!
Ashley's POV
*30 mins earlier
I said goodbye to Bailey and went to first period - dance. Now you might have thought that self defence was a hobby, it's not. I was just born with the skill and use it in the spy industry. So what's my hobby they ask. Dance I answer, and they go 'what?' It's actually quite funny at their expressions. I did dance when I was 13 and then I got bombarded with the Semara situation. Ridiculous. I had to quite and never got back into it and now I just have the chance to.
I rounded a corner and came to the auditorium. I walked inside and saw Nikki and Jacqui. Are you kidding! Now this is getting annoying. I took a seat on the floor since everyone else was sitting there. My phone buzzed.
Miss you already :-* :-*
Bailey. I smiled and texted back.
Not as much as I miss you :-*
I felt a tap on my shoulder and spun around. I met with Drew and almost had a heart attack.
Calm down Ashley it's Drew!
"Woah hey!" I said and laughed a nervous laugh.
Chill out woman!!
"Hey I didn't know you danced!" Drew exclaimed.
"Ditto," I said.
"I thought self defence was your thing..." he said.
See.
"Well no actually it was just in my blood. Dance is my escape!" I told him.
"Wow! That's deep..." he drifted off in thought.
I giggled. This guy was good - nice personality, funny, hot and just great.
Omigod Ashley your in love with Bailey and he's in love with you. Stop it for crist sake!
The teacher came into the room and we all fell silent.
"Hey class I'm Miss Sayers but call me Nadine. This semester we will be doing group dance routines and partners routines," Nadine said.
"We will start this semester off with a normal routine to get us to know you better through dance. You will be able to choose your type of dance - contemporery, hip hop, ballet, whatever - and the song you do it to. This routine will be done infront of the whole class plus myself next lesson, which just happens to be tomorrow so I'm giving you the rest of the lesson to practise this and by the way... You will be marked on it so get cracking! You are free to go outside or use other classrooms that are free," she explained to us.
I was prepared for this and knew what I was going to do - contemporery since it was my favourite and I am going to do it to Say Something.
"What are you going to do?" I asked Drew.
"I don't know I'm thinking of doing hip hop just cause it's super fun!" he said.
I nodded, not knowing what else to do.
"What are you going to do?" he asked.
"Contemporary to Say Something," I replied.
"Wow that'll be awesome! Do you want to work together, like see what can be improved with each others dances?" he suggested.
I nodded. "Yeah I'd like that!"
Stop Ash you know better than this!!
"Well come one let's get to work!"
We found an empty room which conveniently had speakers so I connected my phone up to it and turned to face Drew who was practising some hip hop moves. I kept watching him until he was ready to stop. You could see by the way he danced, he'd been through a lot. He stopped and looked at me, smirking.
God damn that's sexy!
Stop Ashley YOU LOVE BAILEY for God sakes!!
"Enough about me show me what you've got so far!" he said sitting on a chair in the corner of the room.
"Um... Ok then," I said.
I presses play on my phone and music blared through the speakers in a slow tempo. I moved to the centre of the room and sat down bringing my knees to my chest in the starting position. The lyrics rolled around in my head as I made up some of the steps. I did a back roll into a handstand and let the moves flow with the music. I did a fouetté into a calypso jump and rolled onto my back and back to standing. I touched my head with my hand and moving my head to my shoulder and reaching my hand out as if I just lost something.
The song ended with me ending in the starting position. I got up and stretched my ankle as Drew clapped.
"That was incredible you can see the emotion pouring out of you!" He exclaimed.
"Oh I'm sure I wasn't that good," I said.
"Can I just ask... What was going through your head while you danced that. Be honest," he focused his pretty green eyes on my deep blue eyes.
"Well if we're being honest... I was thinking about if I'd done the steps correctly or not..." I said.
He nodded. "Yeah, you looked really focused, I would suggest thinking about if you lost something and put even more emotion into it."
I nodded taking everything he said onboard.
"Show me what you've got so far," I suggested and unplugged my phone so he could plug in his.
He hooked it up and put on the song. He moved to the side of the room and when the song began he slide into the middle of the room and started moving to the beat.
When the music finished he was sweaty but at the same time looked kind of cute.
"We should probably go back to the auditorium now the bell's gonna go," I suggested.
He nodded and grabbed his phone. We wandered into the auditorium and sat down together. Our hands brushed together and I instantly pulled it away. I wiped sweat off my forehead.
Why are you sweating Ashley it's not like you like him!
Right?
