Principal Bang has given the boys the opportunity to go home or where ever they want for Easter, whilst paying for the expenses on behalf of winning the Second Task. Jungkook decides to go home and spend the Easter with his dads. Jimin and Taehyung spend the holidays at the school. Yoongi and Namjoon both go to the youngers house where they jam to 'Seo Taiji and Boys' and talk about the future.
Hoseok goes to America to visit the Avengers and his boyfriend, whilst Jin stays at school.
Jin had been spending more and more of his time with Mr Barrett in the Science lab room. He should have been going out more and having a blast by the village in the outskirts of the forest area where Bangtan High was located, but he just wanted to stay inside. He didn't feel like going back into the outside world; he didn't want to put on a show for his friends and be Mr Popular for a second. Which is why he stayed with Mr Barrett, because no one would visit a Science teacher during the holidays.
It was good mostly, he simply stayed in the classroom and didn't do much. Mr Barrett had a shelf of books that he liked to read as a kid, on top of his textbook shelf. Jin had read through at least half of them, most were just 'Terry Pratchett' or 'C.S. Lewis' novels, but they were good. He enjoyed the stillness of just reading in the quiet of the classroom. Sometimes the science teacher would ask Seokjin to put away some type of science equipment and the student would.
Other days Seokjin just wanted to talk and Mr Barrett would be there to listen intently. He enjoyed that about the teacher and felt a calming presence with him in the room. Today, Seokjin felt like a thinking mood. So he stayed sitting quietly in the corner of the classroom and simply held another Terry Pratchett book out from the teachers many collection. He stared at the same page whilst his mind was in another universe.
"What's wrong Seokjin?" Mr Barrett called up.
Jin looked up and shook his head, "nothing."
"Well I can tell it's not nothing-" the man put away his marking and turned to Seokjin- "you've been on the same page for almost an hour now and the lunch bell's about to go," he informed.
Seokjin looked up at the clock and sighed tiredly, "I'm not hungry, I brought lunch anyway... but I don't think I'll eat it anymore."
"Why?" Mr Barrett asked, looking at the boy with a reassuring smile.
Jin gulped slightly, "you haven't seen the Second Task yet have you?" he asked.
Mr Barrett shook his head, "not till the end of this week apparently. Why? Did something happen?" he sat up straighter and gave Jin a worried look.
"No," the younger said. "It's fine," he sighed and closed his eyes, resting his head against the table in front of him. Jin let himself be taken away, back to the Second Task. Except this time, it was the Second Task from 5 years ago. When he was only Jungkook's age and had been selected to be apart of BTS then.
A first year Seokjin was standing on the ground, holding onto Homme's leader. "What do we do?" he asked, looking up fearfully at the boy from the Japanese team. "Is he going to jump?" Jin asked, trying to tear his gaze away from the boy who was probably a year or two older then he was. The leader handed Jin over to Changmin, another member of the Homme team, who was more closer to Jin. Changmin hid Seokjin behind himself and ruffled the boys hair to try and comfort him in some way but Seokjin wasn't the one that needed comfort.
For the Second Task the teams were all put in a makeshift city, where the buildings kept changing. Sliding on the ground like chess pieces moving on a board. Seokjin had never seen anything like it before and he didn't know what the purpose of the game was. Until a voice came over to explain what they had to do; go into the building and try to find walkie talkies that would link them back to the people waiting in the stadium. Except some of the walkie talkies linked back to other places, such as, a pizza place, the national guard for a museum and Seokjin once got a little girl who was playing a game on her walkie talkie. Everyone was getting frustrated, what no one knew was that Ong was starting to get agitated; people said it was just his anxiety.
