PREVIOUSLY ON: QUIRKS
We're introduced to Hoseok's boyfriend who actually get's rid of Jungkook's quirk. The boys all spend their night in Sooho's room whilst the older has a talk with Jungkook. They need to be careful with how they handle Jungkook because he's not going to be the same from before. Jungkook, who had thought that his subconscious was completely safe and would never anyone, almost killed three students.
In other news, the Third Task is literally the next morning.
There was a stillness in the air the very next morning and everyone could tell. Jungkook was getting changed into a traditional Korean set-up a hanbok. The same hanbok from the first games, he was wearing the black clothing loosely on his shoulders. Jungkook was speaking with Taehyung and Hoseok again. He had a conversation with Sooho in the morning discussing what to do in the future but that was about it.
Even when the other members tried to talk to Jungkook, the younger could hear the stale undertone in their voice. They were afraid. Jungkook had always had people judging him, he always had people look down at him. People who thought he was weird because he could manipulate souls. Or even just because he liked to read a lot of Harry Potter. But, he never had people be scared of him. That was new.
He didn't like new. As a matter of fact, Jungkook rather found himself hating 'new' and the concept of it. There was no safety behind new things. Everything was taken head on, falling into the deepest end of a pool- no an ocean and training a newborn to swim. Jungkook didn't like the way simply tried their best. He wanted this to go back to the way they used to. But he didn't know if they could. Not anymore at least.
And it sucked you know? Because Jungkook had already come to terms with it being Namjoon, Yoongi and Seokjin last year. It was always going to be their first and last year with him. But he thought he could at least be friends with Jimin, Hoseok and Taehyung until they eventually left him. He didn't think that could happen now. It luhrt because Jungkook was very fond of the six boys currently getting changed for the Third Task.
Jungkook sighed loudly, gaining the attention of everyone in the room. He looked over at his subconscious who was floating along, meanlessly in the air. Jungkook then stared over at Jin, then at Namjoon and then Yoongi- the black clothed boy gulped. Jungkook tilted his head to the side and Yoongi looked away. The younger nodded more to himself than anyone in the room and walked out,, decingin he's rather get changed in one of the bathroom stalls than with his members.
So Jungkook did just that. He went into a bathroom stall, tied his hanbok all be himself and looked at his reflection in the mirror. His eyes were red around the edges but Sooho hyung had brought him a face pack and that helped with the swelling. Jungkook's lip was still a little bruised and there was a small cut under his right, a little above his chin. He prodded at it with his finger, hissing slightly with the immediate pain. Wondering if it would leave a scar. Jungkook hoped it didn't, his dad (Heechul) would probably drag him home and keep him tucked away from any further harm.
As much as Jungkook really wanted to just be at home with his parents, he had a competition to complete. He looked over at his subconscious, he floated beside Jungkook and tilted his head sideways. Jungkook smiled, "Wanna tie the back for me?"
Guilt.
It was pretty much an emotion passing through each and every member of BTS when they saw their maknae walk out of Sooho's room to get changed somewhere else. Yoongi sighed out and kicked the nearest thing to him which was Jimin's backpack. The younger whined and went to pick it up, glaring at the older. "We should say something to him," Yoongi said.
