"A week here is going to be great." I said standing on the soft sand.
Just feeling the ocean breeze, was enough to relax.

Kimmy grinned as she stretched.
"It's exactly what we need." She agreed.
I nodded as my eyes fell on Jeremy who had been helping Cain unload the truck, I frowned softly.

"Do you think something happened?" I asked Kimmy who blinked, her attention falling on the guys.
"Between those two?"
I nodded.
Kimmy frowned now.
"I don't know, they seemed okay coming here." She shrugged.
I crossed my arms.

"The beach!" Keisha squealed jumping onto Kimmy's back who laughed, before kissing the other.
I smiled softly leaving the two, to go help the guys.

"Need any help?" I offered looking at the few things that were left.
Cain looked at me with knitted brows.
"We got it, if you want to start unpacking it inside, that'll be nice." He told me.
Blinking I looked to Jeremy for a second option, but he remained quiet.

Frowning, I walked inside and began to take things out of the boxes, and place them on the counters.
Food in the fridge, drinks in the pantry.
Well the alcohol also went in the fridge.
No one likes hot or warm alcohol.
Unless you're drinking sake.
I was told you drink that while its hot.

I sighed looking out the window to the ocean.
It looked so inviting.
And everyone seemed so excited.
Well.
Except for those two who were unloading the truck.

I yawned softly dusting my hands off on my shorts, before stepping back outside.

"Done unpacking?" Jeremy questioned as I looked to him.
"With everything that went in the kitchen? Yeah, all that's left is my stuff but I can unpack that later." I told him.
He nodded as I went around to get Muffin from the back seat.
She excitedly jumped into my arms, licking me as I smiled softly.

"Our little vacation, girl. You ready?" I asked as she let out an excited bark.
Laughing I brought her inside, trying to decide on what room we'd sleep in.

Thankfully there were four rooms.
So if Cain wanted to share a room, we'd have one.
The girls would have theirs, and then Jeremy had his own room.

I walked into a good sized room, looking at it for a moment.
"What do you think girl?" I asked sitting her down as she ran around, wagging her tail.
I smiled softly, kneeling down as she ran up, licking my hands.

"Nice choice." Jeremy said, startling me.
I jumped to my feet as Muffin ran to the bed, jumping up and getting on it.

"You scared me." I told him.
He smirked softly.
"Sorry," he looked around as my eyes fell on his fist.

"Did you and Cain get into a fight?" I asked him.
Jeremy blinked.
"What?" He questioned.
I made a face.
"I noticed his cheek bone was bruised but never questioned it, but then I saw your fist.. Did you two have a fight?" I pushed.
Jeremy frowned at me.

"Something like that, but its fine. There was just a misunderstanding, everyone was rough housing at blue wolf the other night and I joined in, which ended with me punching him." He said with no apology in his tone.

I frowned but nodded.
"Alright." I said walking deeper into the room.

"It is a nice room, though." I said going back to the original conversation.
Jeremy bit his lip.
"Yeah, its the room I always crashed in with my older sister." He told me with crossed arms.
My eyes widened.
"Shit, sorry Jeremy. Do you want this room?" I asked him.
He smirked again.

"Nah, keep it. I'll just take the master room, its where my parents always crashed. There's a whole better view as well." He teased grinning.
I smirked softly.
"Shouldn't of told me that." I said running out of the room to only have the other chase after me.

"Angel, I called dibs on that room!" Jeremy called after me.
Just as I was fixing to grab the handle.
I laughed being lifted off my feet by the other who held a grip on me.

"Let me go, Jeremy." I laughed.
Jeremy smirked as he studied me for a minute.
I smiled softly.
"What is it?" I asked him.
He smiled.
"I just realized how feminine you are." He pointed out.

I blinked.
"Feminine?" I repeated.
He nodded.
"Its not a bad thing, its actually attractive when a guy looks and acts it." He told me.

Blushing.
I ran a hand through my hair.
"I wasn't aware I was being feminine.. but do you think I'm attractive being feminine?" I asked him.
Jeremy smirked softly, his hand caressing my cheek.

"I do." He confessed.
My face burned as I looked at the other.
"Jeremy.."
I blinked confused.

"I thought you were straight?" I asked him.
Jeremy blinked now thrown off, but then smiled.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me." He said winking before walking away.

"Jeremy, wa-"
"Angel!" Keisha exclaimed popping into the room.
She held a curious look.

"So this is none of my business, but I thought couples were supposed to flirt. Not friends." She said with crossed arms.
I looked at her confused.
"Friends can flirt with no feelings involved, its normal." I told her.
Keisha bit her lip.
"But it almost looked like you and him were having a moment, where you had feelings." She pointed out.

"You were eavesdropping?" I asked her with knitted brows.
She raised her hands.
"More like I was coming to tell you to change, for us to go swim. But I appeared at the wrong time." She said.
My blush reappeared.
"Did Jeremy see you?" I asked her.

Keisha blinked.
"He did but he ignored me, I think he sees me as that annoying little sister even though I'm twenty two." She said with a bothered look now.
I smiled softly.
"Jeremy sees everyone as his sibling." I told her.

Keisha looked at me.
"You two were in kissing distance, I wouldn't call yourself his brother when he looked like he wanted to eat you." She told me.
I blushed.
"Jeremy is a friend, Keisha. Cain is my boyfriend." I told her.
She looked at me unsure.
"Alright, Angel.. but any way, go get your cute oblivious booty into some swimming trunks!" She said now.

I stood in the bedroom, my face burning.
I couldn't possibly like Jeremy could I?
That would honestly look bad if I liked a guy while dating one.
Not to mention, the names I'd be called.
But..
In that split moment.
I felt like I liked Jeremy, more than a friend.
..
And in that moment.
Cain didn't exist.
~~~~
"Its cold!" Kimmy cried as I stayed in the shallow area with Cain who had been quiet.
"Its because its spring, Kim. Its going to be cold." Jeremy sighed and with that, he tackled himself and the girls into the water.
Pulling all three under.
To only have Keisha come up screaming.
"Jeremy, you jerk!" She cried shivering now.
I laughed as Cain smirked softly, his eyes falling on me.
"Don't you want to swim?" He asked me.
I looked to him.
"I'm okay, sitting in the shallow is better." I told him and without any warning.
Cain lifted me up, and immediately started running.
"Cain, I swear to God if you think this is a joke, its not funny!" I cried as he ran deeper into the water.
Knocking us both under.
I came up first, glaring at the other who grinned.
"Its spring break, Angel. It won't be fun unless you let loose." He said as his eyes fell on Jeremy who was already glaring his way.
I felt tension as Kimmy swam over to me.
"Talk about if looks could kill." She said as I frowned deeply at the two.
Jeremy ended up getting out to to shower, leaving the four of us alone.
Which soon after, Cain got out as well.
Keisha looked to Kimmy.
"I think Angel is in a complicated love triangle." She told the other.
Kimmy's eyes widened.
"Jeremy likes you?" She shrieked as I covered her mouth with a dark blush.
"Shut up! I don't know." I cried.
Keisha frowned.
"Jeremy was looking at the two of you, like he wanted Cain out of the picture. Something's going on." She said with a frown.
I ran a hand through my hair.
"Maybe I should talk to them?" I suggested.
"What? Are you crazy?" Kimmy cried.
"No, if this is a love triangle. You need to give it a few days, see how Jeremy acts anytime Cain is near you. You should never confront them at the same time." She told me.
I looked at her confused.
"But what if its just a huge misunderstanding and Jeremy isn't even into me? What if Cain did something, and it pissed Jere off? So now he's having to aggressively watch him." I murmured now.
Keisha frowned as we walked out of the water.
"When you put it like that, it really sounds like Cain cheated on you." She said as we grabbed our towels.
I frowned.
"I'm not saying Cain cheated on me, I know he didn't." I said sounding more confident than I felt.
Walking up to the beach house, I frowned seeing Jeremy outside.
A beer in his hand.
"Angel, can we talk?" He asked me.
I blinked but nodded.
"Of course." I looked to the girls who pretended they weren't listening, and went straight inside.
We walked over to where the bonfire would be tonight, before the two of us took a seat.
Jeremy frowned.
"I can't be cheesy about this sort of thing, because that's the last thing we both know that I am." He said frowning softly.
I made a face, feeling my heart racing.
"What is it then?" I asked.
He looked at me with knitted brows.
"I like you." He told me as my eyes grew wide.
I looked at him for the longest time.
"I mean, I like you too." I said with a smile.
Jeremy rolled his eyes.
"No man, I mean. I like you, like you." He said doing that dumb thing he does with his index and middle fingers, creating a lousy heart.
I looked at him frowning.
"Why would you tell me this, when I'm dating Cain?" I asked him confused.
He looked annoyed at that.
"Because, I want you to know. I'm going to be there for you, no matter what he says or does. Even when he breaks your heart, I'll be there." He said standing up.
"Breaks my..-"
My brows knitted before standing up as well.
"What do you mean, when he breaks my heart? What do you know that I don't?" I demanded now.
Jeremy looked to the door where Cain had been.
He looked back to me.
"I'd rather that guy tell you whats going on, before this trip even really starts. Because trust me, you'll probably end up leaving as soon as he tells you." He told me.
I felt my stomach sink as Cain walked over to us.
Keisha walked outside, with a curious look.
Cain crossed his arms as Jeremy walked away from the two of us.
"Do you remember when we had that argument a few weeks back?" He asked me.
I felt my heart pounding.
"What did you do, Cain?" I asked him.
He frowned deeply.
"I went to-"
"MUFFIN IS MISSING!" Kimmy yelled from the inside of the house.
Interrupting whatever moment this was fixing to turn into.
My eyes grew wide, looking to Cain.
"Whatever it is, it'll have to wait Cain." I said running off and leaving the other.
My dog was missing.
Son of a bitch.
~~~
I ran into the room I'd be sleeping in, getting on my hands and knees and looking everywhere for my dog.

"Muffin!" I called out to her, but got not bark or whine in response.
I was starting to panic.
This wasn't happening.

I ran out of the house, searching everywhere I could think of.
She wasn't there.
The tears were burning my eyes as I ran up and down, calling for my dog.
Where could she of gone?
Why did she wonder off?

Oh please, let me find her.

All of this stress and freaking out, really wasn't good for my health.
~~~~
I remember we stayed up all night that night.
Searching for Muffin.
We split up several times, asking people if they had seen her.
And to my unfortunate life.
They had not.
Muffin was missing.
Cain had news.
Jeremy confessed he liked me.
And it felt like my life was fixing to be ripped in half.
