"Ow, ow, ow, ow." I hissed as mom dabbed my cheek in peroxide.
"Oh hush," she scolded frowning as she dabbed my lip.
"If you didn't get into a fight like a school kid, this wouldn't of happened." She frowned as I sat there.
"He was seriously asking for it, he kept pushing me." I told her looking away.
Mom looked at me for a moment.
"So you threw the first punch?" She asked.
I nodded before wincing feeling her thump me in the forehead.

"Don't pick fights you can't win." She frowned pouring more peroxide on the rag.
"How was I supposed to know, Cameron was a psychopath?" I frowned at her.
She stopped dabbing then sighed.
"Son, if there's kids your age who are still picking fights, your best bet is to just turn around and ignore them. No matter how persistent they may seem when it comes to fighting, be the bigger person." She said dabbing my forehead.

"So what happens if he hits, Soph?" I asked.
She glared.
"Then you beat his ass, no mercy." She said before smiling softly.
"He really did a number on you, pumpkin." She said with a soft sigh.

I rolled my eyes.
"The fight could of ended if he hadn't tried to slap, Soph." I said now.
She frowned.
"Why did he even try to involve her?" She asked me.
"She kicked him in the knee, for messing with her big brother." I smirked feeling proud of her.
But mom didn't look proud.
Only disappointed.
~~~~
"Your face still looks like crap." Andrew teased as I walked into the backyard where the rest of the family was.
I shoved the other with a smirk.
"Yours looks like crap, daily. But I never say anything, Andy." I said with a grin.
Andrew rolled his eyes but grinned.
"Looks like your left cheekbone is going to scar." Dad said at the grill as I frowned.
"You really think it'll scar?" I frowned.
He flipped the burger.
"Angel, your cheek is pretty busted. Its a miracle that punk didn't break it." He said with a frown.
I frowned deeply.
"I guess my bones are just a target to be broken." I said sighing softly.
"Its just bad timing." Dad looked to me now.
"You really did scare everyone coming home though." He said sitting down next to me.
I smiled softly.
"The plan was to just let Soph buy Morgan earrings, not get in a fight at the mall. I swear I feel like I'm sixteen again." I sighed.
He smirked now.
"Ah, I remember your first fight. Your mom nearly fainted when you and Andy came home all bruised up and bleeding." He crossed his arms thinking back.
"Some punk kids were picking a fight with you, and Andy just happened to be in the area. You both walked into this house, grinning like it was the best thing you've ever done." He said standing back up to flip the next two burgers.
I smirked.
"We got quite the scolding, even back then from mom. But you took us into your study, and congratulated us." I grinned remembering it now.
He grinned at that.
"My boys winning fights is something I can be proud of."
"And losing the fights?" I asked him.
He glanced to me.
"First off, you were trying to be the bigger person by ignoring him, secondly. You came back here with your sister unharmed," he ruffled my hair.
"So as much as I enjoy my children winning, I also enjoy them back home in somewhat one piece." He said pulling the burgers off the grill now.
"Time to eat everyone!" He called to the ones outside, who yelled inside.
To only hear Noah crying from the loud voices.
Followed by a tired Amy groaning loudly.
~~~~
"Happy Birthday to you." My family sang as I stood near the white cake.
Smirking softly I looked at the numbers.
Twenty-one.
I was finally able to go into bars, without anyone trying to stretch it for me.

Blowing out the candles, everyone cheered as I began to slice the cake.
Asking everyone who'd want a piece.
The majority of the family wanted a slice.
So I was glad this cake was square and not round.

Sitting in the grass.
I smiled softly as Alex waddled towards me.
Jacob watching him closely as he finally made his way over.
Alex's green eyes sparkled as he took a seat in silence.
It looked like he had gotten mustard in his brown hair, from the burgers.
Which his burger was just the patty, cheese and mustard.
Smashed up so he wouldn't have any issues eating it.

"Enjoying the party, Alex?" I questioned the two year old.
He blinked confused but managed a cute smile before babbling.
I smirked softly before cutting off a small piece of the cake.
Offering it to my nephew.

Immediately, his mouth was opening and leaning over.
I grinned placing the small bite in his mouth, watching him slowly eating it then finishing it.
Before leaning over again for another bite.

"Alright, Alex. Lets let the birthday kid enjoy his cake." Valerie said lifting her son up now.
I smiled softly.
"He's okay, Val. I probably won't even finish the slice, myself." I told her.
She smiled softly.
"He doesn't need to eat too much anyway." She said walking away with the toddler.

Not even finishing half of my slice.
I sat it on the bench next to me, before wiping my mouth then leaning back as the wind blew.
The clouds were coming in and even though it rarely rained here.
When it did.
It stormed.

Getting to my feet I placed my slice in the fridge for later, so if I could regain an appetite.

Presents wouldn't happen until everyone finished eating.
So it kind of felt like Christmas.
Andrew had also vanished along with dad, they said they had to go somewhere and pick up these 'drugs.'
So I felt like it was a perfect time to call Jeremy.

"Damn dude your face is wrecked." Jeremy cringed on the other side.
I glared.
"Gee, thanks for the words of support." I hissed.
"Hey, anytime man. You know me, be honest and that's exactly what you need. Just what the hell happened?" He asked leaning in now.
I frowned.
"Some guy I went to school with years ago, found me at the mall and pretty much started a fight." I rubbed the side of my neck with a sigh.
Jeremy made a face.
"Well its good the fight got stopped." He said.
I arched a brow.
"Why? Would I be too ugly for you then?" I teased.

He smirked.
"That's not it, I mean. From the looks of it, it really looked like he wanted to beat your face in. That's the main place your injured at." He pointed out.
I frowned.
"I mean yeah, he wasn't holding back. That was the scary part." I told him.

I made a face now.
"Why does it look like you're in a tight spot?" I asked him now.
He made a face as well.
"I do? Oh, I'm.. Actually I have no idea where I am." He blinked but smirked.
I rose a brow.
"Are you drunk, Jerri?" I asked him.
He smirked.
"Would you accept that lie?" He asked.
I sighed.

"Might as well." I said but stopped at the sound of knocking.

Jacob poked his head in.
"Hey, dads back. We're fixing to do gifts." He said as his eyes fell on Jeremy through the laptop.
I blinked but looked to Jeremy.
"Alright dude, talk to you later." I said as he waved before hanging up.
~~~~
We stood outside again with presents laid out on the bench.
I smiled softly.
"Yeah, I seriously feel like a kid." I confessed walking over and sitting down.
Dad and Andrew looked smug about something.
And that honestly, made me nervous.
I opened the first present, which was a 'Motionless In White.' CD.
Smirking softly that was going to be played tonight.
No exceptions.
Going through the rest.
They all turned out as either clothes or something small.
But the last one was in an envelope.
I blinked as Andrew smirked.
Arching a brow, I tore it open to reveal a key.
Holding it up, I looked at them confused.
"A key?" I questioned.
"Go to the front yard, pumpkin." Mom smiled now.
Looking at them, I headed towards the front door.
But froze at a familiar back in front of the cars.
Opening the door.
My eyes grew wide as Jeremy turned around, finger gunning me.
"Holy shit." I gasped but smiled.
He smirked.
"Yeah you called at a bad time." He smirked as I hugged the other.
"Wow. So you actually came here." I said.
"More like was invited." He said with his attention falling on my parents behind us.
I grinned then held up the key.
"So what? Are you the key to my heart or something?" I asked.
Jeremy cringed.
"If your pretty face wasn't already busted, I would seriously punch you for that, no. Look." He took me by the shoulders to reveal a.
2016 Toyota Camry that was a ruby flare color.
My eyes grew even more wide now.
"I-Is that mine?" I asked them.
Dad smirked.
"It was one of the few expensive drugs, we picked up." He told me as I walked towards it.
Jumping back as American cocker spaniel popped up in the passenger seat.
"Muffin??" I pulled the door open as she barked excitedly to see me.
"But if you're here, then-"
"It was a massive surprise." Came Kimmy's voice behind me.
I turned and there stood the girls who had their hands locked.
I smiled at them in surprise.
"Wow, you guys all flew in just for my birthday?" I asked them.
Jeremy smirked.
"Yeah, but now we're here until you go back to Florida." He told me.
I blinked but nodded with a smile.
"We're going to be staying at a hotel, a block away from your house." Keisha told me now.
I turned to her, then looked to dad.
"Did you pay for that as well?" I asked him.
Andrew popped up.
"Actually, that was me. But come on, ignore those guys. Check out your car, we bought you!" He beamed pushing me away to admire the car.
I laughed as he shoved me into the driver seat.
"Check this out, your radio is touch screen, oh! You don't need a key to drive, and also Bluetooth is a thing." He smirked sounding more excited than me.
I sat there admiring the car for the longest.
"I can't believe you guys did all of this." I said now.
Andrew shrugged.
"Well I mean, my job didn't exactly pay the best but I wanted you to have your own car, the parents agreed so we all worked on getting you this car. So yesterday, dad and I went and finished the paperwork and got this beauty all paid for. All you have to worry about, is the insurance and whatever else you need for this car." He told me.
My brows furrowed.
"I'm shocked." I said trying not to cry now, but my eyes burned fiercely with tears.
My hands began to tremble as I held the steering wheel.
Andrew jumped out then ran over to my side, immediately bringing me into a hug.
"For two years of not seeing you, we didn't feel like a family anymore. Dad knew he screwed up, Soph kept herself locked away and mom would hardly speak to anyone, so when you left. I immediately jumped the gun by saving up to get this car for you, because our parents bought mine and Jake's. If they didn't want to care for you at that time, it wasn't going to stop us." He brushed the tears away frowning at me.
"You are mine and Jake's little brother, who grew up differently and was treated differently for liking guys. Honestly, I was proud you came out because I knew you weren't interested in girls." He smirked softly.
"But last year, something happened. Soph got all of us in a room again, and despite our parents not wanting to be in the same room, she talked to us and told everyone about your sexuality and how it wasn't wrong, that you were still a person." He smiled softly.
"She managed to open dads eyes and moms, who cried a lot after that." He looked at me.
"So when they found out, I had been saving up for this car. Immediately, dad jumped in and threw in the money he had to help get this car paid off." He smirked softly.
"Our wedding was a surprise for Friday, but you coming and visiting everyone, kind of stole my thunder." He shrugged with a smile.
I smiled softly wiping my eyes.
He smirked.
"So, Happy Birthday little bro. Go hang out with your friends, and enjoy the rest of the party. Cause tomorrow, you're coming with me and my small gang to party." He said pulling me out of the car.
Laughing softly I nodded as I looked to Jeremy and the others.
Who stood there patiently smiling at me.
I turned to Andrew.
"Thank you." I told him.
He smirked.
"You're welcome, Angel."
~~~~
Later that evening, I went over to the hotel Jeremy and the others would be at.
Including Muffin, because as much as I'd love for her to be at home with me.
Dad was still allergic.

"I really can't believe you're here." I said as we all sat in the room.
Kimmy smiled.
"It really was a surprise for us, your brother Andy is the one who called Jeremy and asked us to come." She said.
I smiled softly.
"Andy is a real sweet guy, especially now. Growing up with him, he was a little harsher and more of a punk, but now that he's mellowed out. He's a whole new person." I said.

Keisha smiled.
"Your whole family seemed nice, I like Sophia. She's a cutie."
"She's a mess who kicks bullies in the kneecaps." I told her.
She smirked at that.
"Even more reason to like her." She grinned.

I rolled my eyes but stopped at the sound of my phone dinging.
I blinked at the unknown number calling.

"Hello?" I questioned.

{"Happy birthday, Angel."} The person said before hanging up.
I stared at my phone for the longest time.
...
Cain..?
