"Online dating?" I questioned Kimmy in the computer lab.
She nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, its not hard. You just upload a picture of you, and edit the details about you. And then maybe someone will be interested in you." She said.
I made a face at that.
"Isn't online dating...unsafe?" I asked her.
She waved it off with a scoff.
"Of course its safe, I mean there can be quite the number of perverts on there, but some can also be decent." She said.

"Okay.. um, so whats the name of the site?" I asked her.
"Meetme." She said.
I blinked.
"Meetme? What kind of name is that?" I asked.
"The kind that might land you on a date, stop asking the pointless questions, and set up a profile!" She grinned.

And so I did.
And the entire time, it felt weird.
Online dating?
I was used to trying to figure out who was gay, and who wasn't, mainly at the bar.
Now I had more of a fighting chance to figure out who was on here.

"Oh, and you can go here," she took the mouse and went to this slide show of pictures of guys.
"You can decide on who's cute and who's not, all you do is click and swipe, and if you want. You can befriend that person." She explained.
I groaned.
"This sounds like a lot of work, Kim." I said.

"Would you rather just go to the bar with Jeremy, and struggle that way?" She asked.
I blinked.
"That's not a bad idea-"
"Angel, no. This will work, just give it a few days. I'm sure you'll find the right guy." She said walking away.
I made a face looking at the guys who smiled back from their images.

I say as I exit out and go back to YouTube meme videos.

"She set up an online dating thing for you?" Jeremy questioned in the cafeteria.
I nodded as he smirked.
"Doesn't she know how unsafe that is? There's a lot of creeps on that site." He told me.
I blinked.
"Well how do you know that?" I asked him.
He shrugged.
"I've been on it a few times, and both genders tend to be thirsty on there, so just watch out for them." He said.
I frowned but nodded taking a bite of my sandwich.

"By the way, what are you doing later?" Jeremy asked taking a drink of his water.
I blinked.
"Probably homework that Mr.Fay assigned me, why?" I asked.
"Cancel that." Jeremy said shoving a pretzel bite in his mouth.
"Um, why?"
"Cause you, me and Kim are gonna have a movie night. Its been a while." He said now.

I smiled softly.
"What about the homework? You know Mr.Fay will slaughter me, if its not done." I told him.
Jeremy groaned.
"Do it in study hall, Angel. We're both Angel deprived." He said.
"Okay, okay. I'l do it then." I told him.
He grinned.
"Wasn't taking no for an answer, anyway." He said.

I sat in study hall, looking over the papers before hearing my phone ding in my pocket.
Stopping what I was doing, I pulled out the phone and traveled to that app that Kimmy set up for me.
Fourteen new messages.

"Whoa.." I whispered as both gender blew my phone up.
I clicked on the first name.
Dominic Tyler.
He was only six years older than me, which wasn't a bad thing, I don't guess.
He was pretty attractive with dark skin and soft hazel eyes, his black hair was messy but he pulled it off.

[Dominic]: Hey.
[Angel]: Hey.
[Dominic]: Ur pretty cute, wat brings u here?
I blinked at the grammar, but shrugged it off.
[Angel]: Just looking for a relationship, I guess.
[Dominic]: Bad choice comin here, lots of pedo's & weirdos.
I smirked softly.
[Angel]: Then what are you doing on here?
[Dominic]: Same as u, but lots of ppl on here are a turn off.
I bit my lip.

[Angel]: So you're looking for a relationship, but no luck?
[Dominic]: I am, so far ur the only one who's acted lyk a human, not sum robot.
I smiled softly.
[Angel]: Not that its any of my business, but do you live around the area?
[Dominic]: I live five hours from you, in Miami.
I frowned, that was quite a drive.
[Angel]: Oh.
[Dominic]: Its not far if u take a train though.
[Angel]: Trains are pretty pricey though.

[Dominic]: Well if u and I keep talkin, mybe I will com c u or send u sum money and u com c me.
I smiled softly.
[Angel]: Sure, that sounds good.
[Dominic]: Kool.

I put my phone back in my pocket to resume the notes, frowning at how distracted I felt now.
But even though I was trying to talk to other guys.
My mind kept falling on Cain.

Part of me had hoped he would of been on this app, and would of seen me, then maybe we could of kept talking.
I really hated not giving him my number.
Because then maybe I wouldn't even be on here, talking to someone like Dominic.
He seemed like a real nice guy.
But I just felt a connection with Cain.

After school I decided to take the scenic route by walking through the trail, I just wanted to waste time getting home.
Mainly to aggravate Jeremy.

I felt my phone ding, and it was more people from the app.

[Ben Roman]: Dtf?
I stared at the message for the longest time.
[Angel]: Dtf? Sorry, but whats that?
[Ben Roman]: Your a guy and don't know what down to fuck means?
I felt my face catch fire.
[Angel]: I'm not interested.
[Ben Roman]: Your loss.

"Angel?" 
I felt my heart skip a beat.
I turned and the guy who had been on my mind all day, was jogging up to me.
He was in a tank top with shorts, and a headband holding his hair back.

He removed the earplugs looking at me amused.
"I didn't know you walked this trail." He said.
Trying not to blush I smiled.
"I actually just started, do you jog here?" I asked him.
He took a drink of his bottled water.
"Yup, every day after class and before work." He told me.

I swallowed but nodded.
"Staying active.. Nice." I praised the other who smirked at that.
"So what made you want to start walking this trail? You know, its goes on forever." He pointed out.
I rubbed the side of my neck.
"I just wanted a scenic way home for once I guess, also to make Jeremy and Kimmy wait even longer for me to get home." I grinned.

Cain arched a brow.
"Oho? What did the friends do?" He asked.
I sighed.
"Kimmy set up an online dating profile for me, on this app called meetme." I told him.
Cain blinked.
"An online dating profile? Angel, those aren't safe." He frowned now.
I shrugged.
"I don't know, I talked to a real nice guy earlier, he just lives five hours from here." I said now.
Cain made a face.
"He probably just wants in your pants, that's how most of the people are on that app." He said frowning.

Blushing I frowned.
"I'm allowed to give people chances."
"And get raped? Did you forget what happened at the bar?" Cain's brows knitted as I frowned.
"I could of handled it." I hissed.
He smirked.
"Oh sure, yeah. One frail body against five guys? Just one punch to the gut, and you were on the floor Angel." He said with crossed arms.

I glared.
"Dominic seems like a nice guy, and here I thought you were too." I said now.
Cain made a face.
"I am a nice guy, Angel. I'm trying to look out for you, by telling you that app is dangerous." He said.
"I don't need you to look out for me Cain, I'm not a kid.. I can tell if someone has bad vibes." I told him.
Cain arched a brow.
"Do I?" He asked.
I blinked but frowned.

"No, you have good vibes.. I'm sorry, I need to get going." I said.
"Hey, Angel?" He called after me.
I turned as he walked up to me.
"Let me see your phone real fast."
"Why?" I asked.
"Just let me see it." He smirked.

I bit my lip but handed him the phone.
He typed something in before handing it back to me.
"Now you have my number, so if that guy hurts you. You have me to call first." He said before jogging off.

I stared at his number before feeling my chest tightening.
He doesn't like you..
So stop getting mixed messages and feelings.
..
Maybe I should give Dominic a chance.
He seemed like someone worth giving it to.

I ran home after that.

And sure enough the front door was unlocked and Jeremy and Kimmy were both glaring at me.

"Was it on purpose or did you actually forget I said, movie night was tonight?" Jeremy asked.
I frowned.
"Sorry.. I got caught up with talking to this guy on that app, and then I ran into Cain a-"

"Whoa, you ran into him?" Kimmy grinned.
I blinked but nodded.
"He jogs the trail behind the school." I told her.
"Why were you in the trail?" Jeremy questioned confused.
"I wanted a scenic route home." I shrugged.
Kimmy blinked but smiled.

"So what did you two talk about?" She asked.
I blushed.
"He more or less scolded me for the app, then gave me his number." I told them.
Kimmy grinned.
"Did he seem jealous you were talking about another guy?" She asked me.
I blinked.
"Um.. He seemed kind of flustered, I mean he kind of defended himself as a nice guy once I said Dominic was." I told her.

"Sounds like he got a little jealous." Jeremy said sliding in a movie disc.
I looked to him.
"A little jealous?" I asked confused.
Kimmy smirked.
"If someone a guy likes, indicates their talking to another human, and starts talking about how nice that person they're talking to is, the guy will almost immediately start talking about how nice he is as well." She explained.

"So you guys think Cain got jealous I was talking about Dominic, right in front of him?" I asked now.
They both nodded.
Jeremy smirked now.
"But if you need more proof of Cain getting jealous, just keep talking to Dominic, even go on a date or something-"
"Then brag about it to Cain." Kimmy cut the other off who glared at her.

"But what if he shows that he doesn't care?" I asked.
Kimmy looked at me.
"Guys always care, especially if they're into you, and if Cain gave you his number without you hinting you wanted it first. Then he's definitely into you." She grinned.
I stared down at my phone, then smiled.
"So, I should go on a date with Dominic?" I asked her.
She nodded.
"Even stay the night, whatever-"

"Whoa, slow down, I don't know about staying the night." Jeremy interrupted now with an unsure look.
Kimmy made a face.
"What's the problem?" She asked.
Jeremy looked at her like she was stupid.
"What's the problem? Kim, okay sure. A date is fine, but its his first date! He doesn't need to go on a date, thinking he should stay the night. What happens if Dominic takes advantage, and tries something? I won't be there to beat ass and drink tea while I do it." He spat now. 

We both blinked looking at Jeremy.
She smiled softly.
"You're such a parent, Jeremy. Have you forgot, Angel is also a guy?" She asked.
'Oh sure, yeah. One frail body against five guys? Just one punch to the gut, and you were on the floor Angel.'

I frowned deeply at what Cain had said earlier and maybe, staying the night was really out of the question..

Jeremy ended up ending the conversation by turning.
The Hills Have Eyes, on.
The entire time, I wasn't able to focus on the movie.
My mind was wrapped around Cain and Dominic.
Could I really make the other jealous by talking to Dominic?

It wasn't a bad idea.
But what happens if Cain was just being a friend the whole time?
What if he already has a boyfriend, and just didn't say anything.
Because it wasn't any of my business?

"Want some popcorn?" Kimmy offered me.
I blinked but took the offered snack, staring at the screen.
But as lost as I felt, the sound had became inaudible.

Once the movie had ended.
Jeremy ended up crashing over and slept in the guest room.
Kimmy had went home which was only a block a way.

I lied in bed texting Dominic.

[Angel]: So what is it, that you do?
[Dominic]: I work in the business branch as a Entrepreneur.
I felt my eyes widen, that was a pretty important job.
I wasn't too familiar with it, but I knew it had to do with organizing and operating a business or businesses.
[Angel]: That's pretty cool, all I do is go to college and work at a coffee shop.
[Dominic]: Lol that's not bad tho, u still have a ways away. Wat's ur major?
[Angel]: Music Education..
[Dominic]: That's not bad, Angel. A lot of ppl end up being successful with that major, u will get to work for music companies or even become sum1 popular.
[Angel]: Wow, I didn't even think about that.

[Dominic]: Listen, I no I said I wanted us to keep talking, but how about we meet on Friday? I can send u some money, and we go out and do sumthing?
I blushed at the message.
[Angel]: You wanna go on a date?
[Dominic]: Ya, I honestly think u and I are hittin it off pretty good, and I'd like to meet u in person, sooner than later.

I bit my lip.
[Angel]: And after the date?
[Dominic]: U can stay the weekend with me, if u don't have work or plans.
I felt my heart skip a beat.
[Angel]: Okay sure.. Um, I can get on a train after class? It will be close to three, and I'd be in Miami around eight?
[Dominic]: Perfect, just wear watever u want, and we'll go from there.
I could feel my chest tightening.
[Angel]: Okay.. So see you, Friday night then.
[Dominic]: Lol ya, see you in three days Angel. Get sum sleep, nite.

Staying the weekend with Dominic?

I had a huge feeling.
Jeremy was going to kill me.
Kimmy would be excited.
And Cain would be disappointed.

But this was my choice.
And it'd be the right one.
