Awkward.
How would you exactly define that word?
I didn't really need to look it up in the dictionary. All I know is, from the moment I stepped out of the car until this very moment; 'awkward' is the most suitable word to describe it. Awkward silence has never been this loud. Thanks to the sound of our shoes and my luggage's wheels rolling on the carpeted floor, I still managed to get by the minute. I looked at Yoongi walking right beside me.
His eye was still sore and the wound on the right side of his lip was now scabbing. I should've at least applied some ointment. That beautiful face of his shouldn't welcome even the tiniest bit of scar.
He caught me looking at him and he playfully stuck his tongue out. I rolled my eyes and I heard him snicker to himself in response.
The guy in front of us hasn't said a word since we left their dorm. I could still hear the bass from the headphones he was wearing. I was trying to guess the title of the song he was listening to on repeat but I just couldn't put my finger on it.
Yoongi playfully imitated his every move and threw punches behind him that I can't help but chuckle at his foolishness. He is such a kid when he wants to be.
"I'd stop that if I were you." He suddenly blurts out making Yoongi freeze on the spot. I looked at him anxiously but he kept his cool and mouthed whatever. I began to wonder what the scenario would have been if I was out of the picture. One of them would have probably pushed the other to the wall just to prove who exactly the Boss is.
I passed by a widespread glass window overlooking the vast mass of landscape in between the main gateway and the high-rise building where we're at. The high-class security of the vicinity made it impossible for outsiders to enter. I wonder how much it cost him to buy a chunk of this.
We got into the lift that took us to his suite in no time. When the doors opened, my eyes grew big at the sight of the golden hallway.
Is this the white house or something?
Right at the center was a magnificent chandelier that brought even more luxury to the ambiance. I was so much in awe I didn't realize that we already reached the end of the hall. I bumped into him and I could see his eyes glaring at me almost instantly. I looked away and mumbled Sorry under my breath.
Focus Rozie. This isn't one of those times when you could be stupid.
He entered the code at the digital pad by the door and held the doorknob with his left hand. He stayed still for a moment and said in a very cold voice. "He stays out." without even looking at us.
I glanced at Yoongi and found him gritting his teeth together in displeasure. When he caught my eye, he winked at me and whispered, "Get yourself settled. Just hit me up when you're done."
JK was already inside, holding the door open with a disgusted look on his face.
"I don't have all day. So keep the sappy goodbyes short."
Geez. When I thought Yoongi was the crankiest person I know, then this guy came along.
I took my luggage from him and slowly strolled it inside. JK, however, let the door go the moment I took the first step in, making me lose my balance. I dropped my handbag to the floor and he didn't even help me pick it up. He just turned a blind eye to me and left me struggling.
Seriously?! I'm not even halfway inside and this is what I get already.
Yoongi scooped my bag from the floor and handed it to me. I smiled at him for being so considerate and he whispered "Text me" right before he closed the door behind me.
