I was lying down on my bed resting while the doctor was beside me reading.When he reads it usually keeps me awake but I was to tired tonight.I was about to close my eyes and drift to sleep till I felt something like a flutter in my stomach.I realized it was the baby kicking.
"Doctor!The baby!I think it's kicking."
He set down his book on the night stand and turned to me.He lifted up my shirt and laid his hand on my tummy.I saw a smile appear on his face.It was adorable.
"Emmaline is such a kicker."
I smiled at the way he said our daughter's name.He put his ear to my belly and peacefully listened.I laid back on the bed relaxing while he listened and rubbed my tummy.The feeling was so relaxing.It was probably so relaxing I fell to sleep.
Doctors P.O.V
I looked up to see my beautiful Y/n asleep.I kissed her stomach felling the baby react.I chuckled at Emmaline tumbling around in her stomach.
"Hello Emma girl.Your mama's asleep but i'm here."
I could speak baby but not to a unborn one.
"Look when your born you'll be so protected.I'll be here all the time too protect you and your mommy.I'll tell you stories,take you to planets,and let you meet some of my old friends."
I kissed the stomach one more time feeling tired.
"Goodnight baby."
I scooted up so that my arms were carefully wrapped around her waist.I put my head on top of y/n listening to her sweetly breath.
"Goodnight Y/n"
