The moon hung high that night, its light blanked the Forrest. Cold mist clung to my coat, I could smell everything, the wet ground, the earthy trees that surrounded me. I could see everything. I could hear everything, the crickets and bugs off in the distance, the wind blowing the tree tops up above, the running footsteps far off, and the sudden piercing scream. I don't know why but I started running towards the scream.Something was drawing me faster and faster only to find nothing I was completely alone, but something inside me said to keep looking not to give up. There was something strange saying I needed to find who that scream belonged to and help them.

"Cassie, wake up your doing it again!" My best friend Missy yelled.

"I'm sorry miss" I said jumping at her tone.

"Its okay, its been happening a lot , I wish you would tell me what its all about"

I just laid there not facing her, hoping she would think that i have fallen back asleep. After a while she gave up, got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. I stayed there for awhile thinking about the dream, it almost felt like something more than a dream, like a memory. I finally got up and started to get my cloths together. When Missy came back I avoided her and went to take my shower and get ready which only took me all of 15 minutes. When I was all finished I looked in the mirror. I wore a black tank and skinny jeans with my hair up and light makeup. I'm not trying to impress anyone I have bigger things to worry about in my life, though I'm 16 but when you have secrets and enemies that can rip you apart you don't much worry about a love life. On my way downstairs the smell of Bacon filled my nose, but my stomach was not having it this morning so I decided to grab my keys and wait outside for Missy.

Finally after what seemed like an eternity Missy emerged at the door way. She was wearing her usual pink tank a jean skirt and sandals. I rolled my eyes, she is such a prep. When she got in my car, she starred at me without shutting the door so its not like i could ignore her and make my way down the road towards the school.

"Cass, you know whats happening tomorrow, are you sure its a good idea to go to school today, maybe we should stay and help prepare?" She asks.

Missy is the only one at my school who knows my secret, and the reason is she has the same secret.

"No, we are going to school its the first day. They will do fine on there own. Now shut the door and lets go" I demanded. She stared at me for a minute, knowing she didn't have a choice, she did as I said. I took off down the road turning on the radio. We didn't talk the rest of the way which I was thankful for. I wasn't much of a morning person at all.

The ride was only about 15 minutes or so. When I pulled into the parking lot it was already starting to fill up, as I searched for a spot, I noticed all the new cars and faces. I pulled into a spot and turned the car off.

"I'll see you in second" I said hoping out and heading towards the front door not waiting for a reply. I knew she would start questioning me again and I couldn't take it any more. I just wanted to get this day over with.

As I walked in I could smell the old scent of the school. I could also smell all the students and teachers. sometimes it was overwhelming. I walked down the hall to my first period which happened to be math. I walked into the classroom and spotted an empty seat in the far back 'perfect' I thought and headed back. I took my seat and looked up at the teacher, and that's when it hit me, I am starving. Its pretty unbearable but I try to swallow it and pay attention to what the teacher is saying, but its hard. This is because of tomorrow I would never have this painful hungry if tomorrow was coming. It gets to the point were I ask to be excused to the restroom.

I got to the bathroom, made sure there was no one else in there and locked the door. I was going to have to stay here until lunch or things would get ugly quick.I was startled awake by pounding on the bathroom door. I must have fallen asleep while waiting for the lunch bell to ring. I got out my phone to look at the time as I stood, I realized the bell had just rang so I opened the door to a bunch of freshmen waiting to get in. I pushed passed them and headed to the lunchroom with my head down.

Finally I got food in my stomach but it wasn't enough to fully satisfy the hunger. The rest of the day went by pretty slow, so when the final bell rang I was almost relieved to be heading home. I met missy at my car, she had a concerned look on her face. 'oh great' I thought.

It was dark in the house when I got home. I don't know why but something felt strange, like I was meant to be somewhere but I didn't know where. I started walking around the house but no one was here. That's when I started freaking out, I ran to my room, grabbed the phone and started dialing numbers. No one was answering so I gave up and sat to think for a minute. When I made up my mind I headed out the door towards the woods.
