Chapter 5

I didn't go home until around 1pm. I couldn't, I had way to much on my mind. I didn't want to face the questions the pack would be throwing me, but i knew I had to get everyone ready for tonight. It was the full moon, which meant everyone would be on edge. We don't change uncontrollably like in books and movies, but most of us prefer to be in wolf form for the night, in a way it calms us.

When I walked in the door I saw everyone doing their own thing, so I decided to jump in the shower. When I finished, I walked back downstairs.

"Alpha?" I heard someone call behind me. I turned around to see Stephan, with a questioning look on his face.

"Whats up Steph" I asked

"Are you alright, I meant not to impose or anything I just want to make sure you are okay, cuz well you were gone for a while and no one knew what to do, go after you or let you be..." He trailed off, not looking at me.

I gave him the best smile I could muster at the moment "I'm fine Stephan, don't worry about me. Right now I need you to turn on the electric fence for tonight and make sure no one has to leave first, can you do that for me?"

"Yes, of course alpha" He said bowing his head slightly and turning to leave. I found Alex and Sophie and told them to start getting ready for the ceremony and get stuff ready.

After, I went to find Jeff I had to know the story on those vampires. If i had to beat it out of him. When I did find him he looked up at me and stood up immediately with a bow of his head 'why is he acting like that' I wonder.

"Hey, I need to talk to you" I say Heading to the security room which was where he basically lived. When we got in I shut the door behind him and turned to face him ready to use my alpha voice if needed.

" I know what your going to ask" He said before I could say anything, motioning for me to sit down. I sat in a chair and face him.

"Okay so answer" I say.

"Way before you were born, there was a war between two families, one being a werewolf pack, and the other, vampires. This would be your grandfather on your dads side, and Drako's dad. Drako is the man you talked to earlier in the woods. Now your father, Caleb and Drako were best friends as were their dads, this was before vampires and werewolves were sworn enemies." He paused and looked at me.

"So why did a war start" I ask him.

" It all started on a full moon. Everyone gathered for the ceremony, but Serena your dads sister was no where to be found. It was rumored that Serena and Drako fell in love, a forbidden love between vampire and werewolf. Your father went looking for Serena and when he found her she was in the arms of Drako. She was covered in blood. Drako was devastated and swore he didn't do anything but your father didn't give him a chance to explain. He shifted and went after Drako. But Serena was still breathing and Caleb didn't know until he felt her take her last breath. He collapsed to the ground in agony of a broken heart unable to go after Drako. So he got away." He explained. It was wired hearing my dads name.

" A few years later Drako came to your father, at this time your mother was pregnant with you. Drako wanted to make peace, he wanted an alliance. Caleb was hesitant, but he had a soft spot for Drako and he wanted to believe him but he didn't know how. So he gave Drako the alliance he wanted but swore if Drako were to ever approach him or his family again he would not hesitate to kill him. He did appear once in the woods a couple years back but was gone by the time your dad got there. Sense then he hasn't showed up until now." He continued.

I thought for a moment while Jeff stared at me waiting for a response. I actually didnt know what to say. So I gave him a quick thanks and told him to get ready for the ceremony, and walked out to get ready my self.
