I held onto Elijah's arm, bracing myself for the sharp turn that I knew was going to be harsh judging from the last few turns our driver, Pierre, had made. I thought the driving in New York was ridiculous, but the city has nothing on the streets here in Jamaica. It's almost like they don't know that there's a brake pedal in the car, they just take their foot off of the gas and hope it slows down the car enough. I guess they figure a little whiplash can't hurt anyone.

We'd decided we would spend our morning and afternoon exploring the streets of Montego Bay along with going to Rick's cafe, a bar and grill that is notably one of the hottest spots in Jamaica, but not before I could get into a pharmacy and get some sort of emergency contraception. Pierre turned into Fontana's pharmacy and pulled the car up to the entrance. Pierre attempted to get out so that he could open our door, but Elijah insisted that there was no need, and instead did it himself.

I followed alongside of Elijah as we sauntered through the pharmacy, heading to the back where the refill and pick up counter was. I approached the counter and waited on the pharmacy technician to finish with the customer ahead of me. I went inside of my purse to pull out my wallet, but noticed a wad of cash that wasn't there before. I looked over my shoulder at Elijah who was busy typing away at his phone. "Ow mi cya help yuh," the pharmacy technician grabbed my attention. "Hi! I'd like to have whatever you have for emergency contraception, please."

"I'm sorry but wi currently outta stock til Friday. Dem quite popular lately an wi sell out quickly."

"Are you playing with me right now? You're fucking with me aren't you? I want the manager because this just unacceptable." She leaned forward over the counter, "mi a di managa an mi say wi out gyal. Condoms pan aisle four."

"I see you're a comedian. Well, your jokes aren't funny and you aren't a nice lady," I smiled smugly. She chucked, "Nor mi pregnant. Ave a gud day." I cut my eye to her and turned to walk over to Elijah. He looked up from his phone and slid it into his pocket, "did you get it?" I smacked my lips, "they're out of stock until Friday. Go get some condoms." I scuffed. I'm beyond annoyed at this point. "What do you have an attitude for? Aren't you able to take the pill within five days? We'll be home in two, isn't that enough time?"

"Who waits that long to take the morning after pill? You just don't want to wear a condom. You want me to be okay with continuing to have raw sex and waiting two more days, making it a total of four days that I don't have a barrier to block your semen that's just happily dancing inside of my coochie as we speak. That's cute, Elijah Davis. Real cute." We'd had sex again this morning and because I didn't think a fucking pharmacy would run out of emergency contraception, I didn't make a big deal about needing protection. He chuckled dryly and scratched his head, "mama, you're real close to getting on my nerves."
