Elijah strode inside the main level of his penthouse after darting in and out of traffic at eighty miles-per-hour to get home. He was relieved his father was visiting relatives because he didn't know what turn things would take. His hand leaked of blood and small pieces of glass were embedded in his wound, but neither phased Elijah as he had only one thing on his mind, and that was Nyla. His strides continued up the stairs, his long legs skipping two and three steps at a time. He prowled down the hallway and opened the door to his bedroom.

Hearing the door, Nyla turned off the facet and sat her toothbrush down on the counter. She tied her robe and walked out of the bathroom, scattered strands of her hair still dripping water from her shower. Her steps were halted upon seeing Elijah sitting on the bed, staring at the wall with a thick leather belt wrapped around his hand. The room was silent for only a minute, but the thickness of the tension made it feel like several. "I discovered how to love with you. It wasn't until a few moments ago that I realized I wasn't just in love with you, I was also in love with loving you. I've caused plenty of pain in my lifetime, but I never once thought about hurting you in a way that wouldn't feel good to you," he turned his head and his dark, soulless eyes met her petrified being. "What's your name, mama?"

Nyla stood there, frozen in place, knowing that if he didn't know the entire truth, he knew something. "What's your fucking name," Elijah bellowed, causing Nyla to jump. Tears quickly formed within her eyes and her heart began to beat rapidly, "boog, I can explain." Clenching the belt, Elijah rose from the bed and stalked in her direction. With each step that he took forward, Nyla took one back, unknowingly backing herself into a corner. Elijah stood in front of her, towering over her, and firmly planted his hands against the wall on either side of her, "you can explain? Which part, Nyla? The part where you're an FBI agent sent to set me up or the part where you allowed me to love you with the best part of me, knowing that I was just a game to you?"

She shook her head as her tears spilled over, "that's not true. The conversations we had, the moments we shared, and every ounce of love that we made was and is rea-" Elijah lowered his head and shouted so loudly in her face, the veins in his neck bulged, "bitch, stop lying to me!" Hearing Elijah call her out of her name broke Nyla, not necessarily because of the word that he chose to use, but because she knew that him disrespecting her in such a manner only meant the light in his eyes when he looked at her was dimming.

"I noticed the way that muthafucka that was at your crib looked at me and now I know it wasn't just because he'd seen me with you." Elijah grabbed hold to a handful of Nyla's hair and pulled her head back, his face still an inch away from hers, "you told that nigga I would be at the club that night, Nyla?"

"No! I swear to God I didn't know he was apart of the brothers until this morni-" Elijah furrowed his eyebrows, "you was with him this morning?" Heavy tears continued to stream down Nyla's face as she nodded, "yes, but I had t-" Elijah's anger only rose hearing her admission as he thought back to LV's words. Although Nyla had betrayed him, his love for her hadn't changed in the short amount of time it's been since he has known the truth, so the thought of her sharing her body with another man took him to a dark place and he was beginning to lose control.
