Move on... part 6 (last part in this episode)

Another 3 months have passed. Zoya has joined India's top engineering institute for her PHD; the same one where Aditya did his PHD. Even her mentor was the same as him and the project she is working on is similar or more like a continuation to what he had done. After coming back to the country, she did come in contact with Aditya again, as Aditya is a visiting faculty at the department. They often come in contact, but things have changed immensely between them. Zoya no longer cares much for his presence and is absolutely professional around him. She is no longer craving or broken for him like she used to be. On the other hand, with every passing day, Aditya craves more and more for her companionship. He can see the change in her. he still believes that she is engaged to be married to Kevin. Little does he know how close Jeet's lie was to coming true. His realization coupled with Zoya's indifference has set Adi on a path of self-realization and becoming a better person.

He has already expressed to Zoya, his wish to gain her forgiveness, to which she has politely refused. This time though, Aditya is taking a stand for something that is righteous and is not going to back down so easily. He is taking slow and steady steps towards mending his ways. He has started respecting and acknowledging Zoya for who she is and no longer thinks of her, as his personal property.

A storm is about to come, which will change AdiYa's life forever...

9 months later...

Kevin emails Zoya, informing her that he is coming over for another symposium in Bangalore. He will make a stop at Mumbai first and come an meet her. in fact, he wishes for her to accompany him to the symposium.

Zoya is on top of the moon, she is so happy to be meeting him again; she missed him so much. In fact, in the past few months, Zoya has realized that, yes, she loves Aditya, at the same time, she has moved on... she no longer desired to be with him. She wants to spend the rest of her life with someone like Kevin. And, so she is all set to propose him when she meets him again.

On the day Kevin is leaving for the airport, his car meets with an accident and he dies on the spot. Zoya comes to know about his death 7 days later.

Zoya is broken and numb. She can't fathom how this happened. Her life had come to a standstill. She was in a state of shock unable to think or do anything...

AN: I can't believe what I did! writing this part was emotionally exhaustive. I am still crying! But I did it for the story...

Just like the story, in real life too, some people just come to us long enough to change us and teach us the value of love, though they don't stay long enough to see the person they brought to life. But one thing is for sure, we will never be the same again...

I want to dedicate this chapter to my cousin sister. I love you babes. I hope you are happy wherever you are.

All I wanna say is never wait, life is too unpredictable and too short. If you love someone, if you want to say something, do something, just do it... don't wait for the right moment, you might end up with only regrets. And these regrets are more painful than the risks were ever going to be.
