Flashback continues:

Everything was going fine. One month later, Zoya suddenly faints while making omelets for breakfast due to the smell of the omelet. Only Arjun was at home at that time, and he finds it really odd. As he is a nurse by profession, he suspects her to be pregnant. To confirm, he takes her to the hospital and gets the tests done. The test results come a week later, confirming their doubts about Zoya being 8 weeks pregnant.

To say Zoya was shocked would be a great understatement she was shattered. She felt like she was finally happy in her life and now everything was being snatched from her once again. She wanted the baby, but she was not financially and socially stable enough to support the child on her own. Her parents would probably disown her if they come to know about it; how could she possibly turn to Aditya for help when she was the one to run away in the first place.

This is what she had written in the letter:

Dear Aditya sir,

Please forgive me for leaving like this. Trust me I tried a lot to give us another chance, to accept you but I just couldn't. I tried a lot to forgive and forget what you did to my career and all the other demeaning things you said to me back then, but it is unforgivable.

Life has given me another chance to live my dreams and I am taking it. I will be leaving soon. I don't know when I will be coming back or if I will come back ever again. All I want to say is that I truly loved you and cherished our moments but I don't see a future of us together, and I want you to share my view.

In other words, I want you to forget me, and not try to contact me or find me. I will not be coming back to you.

The baby was no doubt Aditya's.... but how could she now suddenly turn up at his door and ask him to accept her and their child. Zoya had almost made up her mind to opt for abortion, as she still had a chance for abortion. However, Ashu was not going to let Zoya commit this grave sin.

Entrusting Arjun to prevent Zoya from taking any drastic step, she immediately left for India, to find Aditya and inform him about it all. Ashu and Arjun lied to Zoya that Ashu was going to India to attend her cousin's wedding; Zoya wanted to tag along, but Ashu secretly made sure that her leave was not approved.

Back in India, she tracks down Aditya from university records. When Aditya comes to know about Zoya's pregnancy and her apparent decision to abort the baby, he is furious; he would have probably killed Zoya if she was present in front of him in person.

Ashu tries calming him down and requests him to do something. Together they meet up with jeet, who suggests that Zoya and Aditya should sign up a co-parenting contract. They can share the child's custody and bear the costs of upbringing and everything but they don't necessarily have to marry for that. the idea felt like a bitter medicine down his throat, but Aditya had to save his child and he agrees.

He was going to force Zoya to marry him, but Ashu and jeet beg him to not do that, as that might spoil things more than they can save. Ashu told him clearly, that Zoya was pretty adamant to shape her career right now, and if he proposes marriage, in the sense anything that requires her to push her dreams and aspirations to a back seat, it will not settle well with Zoya, and she may take drastic and irrational steps. Actually, Aditya lost all respect he had for Zoya that day. he had never known that she was this selfish and ambitious.

Given the fragility of the situation, keeping everything aside, he makes arrangements to go to New York and propose the agreement to Zoya.

Zoya is shocked beyond belief to see Aditya at her door step. His cold-blooded demeanour on the other hand, scares her to the core.
