Move on... Part 1

When she had left for India, Zoya's heart had made her believe that when she will come back, she will be healed and be able to move on. But the trip made her even more broken than before... more than ever before, she wanted to turn the clock back, to that fateful semester when it all started and somehow undo it... she wanted to forget him, but she can't.

One night alone in her room, and crying, she calls Ashu (her bestie), and tells her everything about her India trip and what all happened during that time.

Even Ashu is pursuing masters in India and hence quite busy with her life. The two friends hadn't got a chance to talk since the past 2-3 months. Hence Ashu wasn't aware of her coming to India for a symposium.

When Ashu heard about it, she was shocked and also, worried. If Ashu had known earlier, about Zoya's plan to go to India, she would have predicted then and there that such a thing would happen. The problem was, Zoya was so much in love with Adi that she just desperately hoped every time for a miracle to happen and everything is sorted. But Ashu, on the other hand, was quite skeptical about the whole scenario concerning Aditya and never believed that anything good come out of the whole situation.

Ash: yaar tu na zyada mat soch... jo hua na vo obvious tha...

Z: haan, hum jante h... par kyu? Kyu ek baar, bas ek baar... sab kuch theek nai ho sakta?

Ash: kyuki tu khud apne aap se pyaar nai karti. Tujhe maine pehle bhi kaha tha ki tujhe khud par bharosa karna seekhna hoga... tu jabse UK gayi h, by god pehle se kahi zyada sati Savitri ban gayi h!

Z: kya matlab? Aap kya keh rahi h? hum yaha ye pooch rahe h ki hum Aditya ko kya jawab de aura ap kya bol rahi h?

Ash: kyu pooch rahi h mujhse ki Aditya ko kya jawab dena chahiye? Tera jawab toh haan hi hoga... fir tune abhi tak usse jawab diya kyu nahi?

Z: kyuki.... Kyuki, hum haan kehna chahte the aur unhe gale se lagana chahate the, but something inside me stopped me... it said to wait... aisa kyu hua?

Ash: yahi toh main tujhe samjhane ki koshish kar rahi hu! vo tujhe se pyaar karta h, par vo bahaut self-obssesed h. aur tujhe finally apni self-respect ki khatir stand lena hoga. Isiliye tune jo kiya vo bilkul sahi tha, agar vo tujhe sach mein pyaar karta h, aur tujhe fir se pana chahta h, toh let him come to you. Let him take the steps, and have persistence, the way you did for him. Bas yaar, jo hua sahi hua, lekin usse tumhari mushkile aasan nai hone wali...

Z: hume wapas aaye, 3 mahine ho gaye h, aur abhi takt oh unhone ek baar bhi hume contact karne ki koshish nai ki. Hum toh aap se ye poochna chah rahe the ki hum call kar ke unse kya bole... ho sakta h vo hume space de rahe ho.

Ash: (laughs sarcastically) Zoya tu sach mein itni sidhi h ya bahaut badi bevakoof? Adi tujhe time, tere answer k liye nahi de raha, he is actually waiting for you to confess, to make the grand gesture, so that once again he has the upper hand in the relationship.... Aur mujhe tu iss baat ka elaborate karne mat lagana ki ye relationship kya hone wali h.... kyu ki toh for sure next level chutiyappa hoga...

Z: Ashu par hum unse pyaar karte h, aur vo bhi humse pyaar karte h... toh kisne pehle bola aur kisne baad mein usse kya farak padtaa h? aur jaha tak humare rishte ki complications ka sawal h, wo toh humesha se hi aisi hi thi... usme kaunsi nayi baat h...

Ash: main ye nahi keh rahi ki Adi tujhe se pyaar nai karta, par vo tujhe respect nai karta... usne tujhe bahaut asani se chod diya tha Pooja k liye... abhi bhi vo tujhe as a rebound, as a back-up plan use kar raha h... in fact it won't be long before he blames you for the failure of his marriage with Pooja. He is a very controlling person, especially with you, he doesn't treat you like a living-breathing-thinking human being but like his personal property... he is convinced that he owns you and hence he is taking it for granted that you will come back to him...
