Tell me you love me

They say memories don't come alone, they come like a downpour. As she thinks about the "Bollywood scene", she reminisces her and Ashu's long stretched discussion about it. They had dissected every little detail of the scene over and over again and analyzed everything... yet, Zoya didn't admit that she loves Aditya.

"no!!!! I don't love him, yaar possible he nahi h. vo kaha aur hum kaha. Bas achche lagte hai hume. Par aapko kya lagta h? wo pasand karte h hume?" she had asked Ashu a million times. like a true friend and loyal farzi psychiatrist Ashu had confirmed that Zoya ka pata nahi, but Slughorn loves her. (P.S. slughorn was a codename for Aditya, because deewaro k bhi kaan hote h)

After a point, Ashu was fed up playing the role of love-guru/psychiatrist/sherlock but bestie ko na bhi kaise bole. Zoya knew she was getting irritated but Zoya was too high up in the clouds to stop.

After that 1st exam, now every day, Zoya wished that Slughorn would be there; she wished he is the invigilator of the exam. She knew if he came as the invigilator, whatever paper it is, it will get messed up and she will fail because she won't be able to concentrate on the paper, but she wanted him there.

Actually, during exams, since they didn't have any lectures, and they just go to the exam hall write the exam and come back to the hostel, Aditya and Zoya didn't get to see each other at all. But Zoya was determined to change that. she had 3 days holiday before her last exam which was also the subject that he taught. By default, Zoya was studying for it like crazy, she didn't study this hard for any other exam, but she had to for this one... After all, it was his subject and she would give her 1000% to it.

As for meeting him in person, she came up with a tried and tested plan. She studied the notes in great depth and formed questions that required high order thinking skills to solve. They were of the kind which cannot be solved by googling them. they specifically needed for someone from the stream, an expert to solve them. and expert means, Aditya sir :D

She mailed him the questionnaire and asked him when she can meet him, so that he could give her the answers to her doubts.

When Adi read the questions, he was like "ye ladki term end exams k liye prepare kar rahi ya Oxford mein PHD apply karne ki tayyari kar rahi h? exam parson h, aur isne poora syllabus already padh liya?!! And itna deeply toh na maine kabhi class mein padhaya na itne high level k questions poochne wala hu paper mein... kya chakkar h? no I am not meeting her!"

Aditya replies to the mail:

"NO."

When Zoya reads it, she is furious! It was such a brilliant plan, she had put so much effort into learning all the concepts and framing those doubts and all he says is "no" WTH!!! There was no salutation, no explanation, no reason, no signing off at the end, just a no! who does he think he is?

She read the mail before going for lunch, all the time during the lunch she had been mercilessly crushing the paratha. As it is the mess food is awful, and then she was in a foul mood, so she completely loses her appetite and is actually taking her frustration out on the food. Ashu is sitting next to her along with some of their other friends. She doesn't dare ask her what happened because she knew it had to be something to do with Aditya... but she can't say anything right now, because their other friends are not aware of the scene and they should not know either.

Once lunch is done, Zoya rushes to her room, and type in a reply to that mail:

" DEAR SIR,

WHAT DOES NO MEAN? PLEASE EXPLAIN. I ASKED YOU IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE AND I GENUINELY HAVE THOSE DOUBTS AND HOPED FOR YOU TO SOLVE THEM! IF YOU ARE BUSY AND NOT INTERESTED IN ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS PLEASE TELL ME DIRECTLY. JUST SUGGEST ME SOME BOOK OR WEB SOURCE WHERE I CAN FIND MY ANSWERS
