Uh oh

Me and MJ swing down to Times Square. It's kinda blowing my mind that this whole time, the two of us had been hiding this major part of our lives from each other. It's incredible swinging down town with her. It has the same serenity as it does when we walk together, except now I'm excited. I don't ever wanna walk again.

We both jump down to an alley way just off the main street where the light was reported. Apparently it was coming out of a crack in the pavement.

"That was incredible MJ- uh oh I mean," I deepen my voice "Spinneret. Cool name by the way."

"Thanks Spider-Man." She smiles at me, as if this is just some normal conversation between us. When this is literally anything but normal. I wanna ask her some many questions, but right now we've got a job to do.

I squat down, taking a closer look at the ground. So far the most unusual thing I can see is a lack of cigarette butts.

"Found it!" MJ yells over at me. She's standing up at the other end of the alley way, over and very faint orange light.

I walk over to take a closer look. The more I look, I notice that the light isn't actually coming from a crack in the ground per say, but more like a random line of light sitting slightly above the ground.

"Weird." I say.

"I've never seen anything like it, it's like the air is cracked?" MJ questions.

"Yeah this is odd, I'm calling Fury." I place my finger to my ear piece and tell Karen to call Fury. Whilst it's ringing, I see MJ reaching her hand down to touch the light.

"Wait MJ maybe don't touch it." I put my hand on her shoulder in attempt to pull her back. But before I can even recognise what's happening, in an instant, the light over flows my eyes, then to be replaced with a forest.
That's right, a forest.

"Yo what the fuck." MJ panicked.

"Must be some secret portal for some bad guys who hate driving." I add, trying to figure out the situation. I put my hand up again to my ear piece. "Karen, redial Fury."
The line goes dead.
"Uh oh"

"What oh?" MJ spits.

"Well I don't know where we are but it doesn't seem like we've got reception." I nervously tell her. "Guess we should try and find a road or something... anything."

"Oh great." MJ's sarcasm is always so dramatic. But in this case, it's pretty appropriate.
