We drive up to a isolated gas station. It looks kind of spooky at night.
I've been thinking a lot about what dean told us on the drive here. The fact that in this world, we are characters in books and movies. It's such a strange thing to comprehend. It's kind of making me question my entire existence. Am I just some random character that some ones written? If that's the case, I would have no free will. It's all just one big illusion.
This is heavy.

MJ doesn't seem to be having as big of an existential crisis as I am. The whole drive she's been asking questions.

'When were our characters first written?'
'Am I anyones favourite?'
'What do you mean I'm not a superhero in the movies?'
'Wait! Does that mean we have doppelgängers on this earth? But like the actors versions of us? Oh my god Peter we're famous.'

It's a lot to take in.

"Alright," Dean says, getting out of the car. "I'll fill her up, you guys go in with Sam to get food and whatever you need."

I slide out of the car, then turn around to help MJ up. I let her lean on me whilst walking through the gas station.

MJ and I head straight to the snack isle, snatching all the junk food we can carry.

It's a bad thought, but I'm starting to worry about... 'shark week.' Since being bitten, I guess my hormones have been all of the place, it's hard to tell when that extremely inconvenient 'time of the month' will hit me.
I hate being in situations like this. I hate the embarrassment I feel. It shouldn't matter, it shouldn't be a big deal. But being trans has always been something I've tried to keep a secret to make things less awkward.
For some reason, coming out makes me really nervous. You never know how someone will react. This feels like something I should've told MJ when we first met, now it feels too late and awkward.
Times like this make me wanna roll up into a ball and just never speak to anyone ever again Ah.

We walk down the 'hygiene' isle. I consider gesturing to MJ that 'maybe you should get some sanity products? Just in case you need them, of course.'
Nope that's stupid. You can't just say that to a woman that's weird. She'll think I'm being creepy or some shit.
And who calls them sanity products what the fuck Peter.

"Ahh." MJ sighs. "Should probably get a few of these bad boys in case." She picks up a package of maxi pads. "Cause that'll be awkward time!"

"YES!" I shout, a little too enthusiastically. "I mean, that would really be not fun for you."

MJ gives me a pity smile. God I hate those.

"You guys got everything?" Sam yells, picking up a pack of beer.

"Yep!" Shouts MJ, giving a thumbs up.

We start walking over, trying not to drop our several packages of chips and Oreos.

We are caught off guard as the lights start flickering.
Oh god not this again.

I see Sam reach for his gun, when suddenly he is being pushed by an invisible force, knocking him over several shelves. I hear glass shatter along the loud thumps of each standing shelf.

"SAM!" I let go of MJ, running over to help Sam up.

I feel my body get jolted backwards. I hopelessly fly across the room. Without thinking twice I shot a web up at the roof on the other side, slowing down my impact, giving me enough momentum to stick to the wall behind me.
I can see MJ tending to Sam, he seems fine but she gives him a hand up anyway.

Dean rushes through the door with his gun pointing. "Everyone alright?"

"Yeah Dean we're fine." Says Sam.

As if in slow motion, I see Deans body being chucked forwards, I shoot a web across in his direct, and swing over, catching him mid air. I swing back down to the ground, landing with him.

"Wow." Says Dean. "That was freakin' awesome."

I look at MJ, and see an flickering figure behind her. "MJ!"

I see her spider sense kick it, she ducks down, ripping out one of the metal legs holding up the register, and swings it around, making the ghost to disappear.
That was pretty darn cool.

I run over the MJ, copying her wits by grabbing another one of the legs. I wait for the ghost so I can give it a peace of my mind, but it doesn't seem to be coming back.

"Ok let's move." Dean throws money at the shocked man at the counter. "It was the same one at the hospital, so I think we'll be safe for a little while, we just gotta get out of here before they work our how to appear again."

Without dropping my weapon, I very warily walk back outside. Mind you I've picked back up all our snacks again. Can't leave without the goods.

We all hop back in the car and Dean drives off as quick as possible.

"So." Sam says. "I think we're got a ghost hunting us."
