"Now that you're back, can I give all these stupid things back to you?" Songkarn asked.

Anurak looked at him with a questioning look in his eyes.

Songkarn sighed exasperatedly. "You know, the hotel, the money. The company. It's not like I deserve them. I don't actually want them. When you're here, what's the need for those things. I can work with my team and you can run your company."

Anurak turned away from Songkarn. He looked pretty serious like he had some worrisome thoughts weighing on his mind.

"Well it's not like I can't run the companies when you own them. If you want me to. But I can't be the spoke's person of this company anymore. I've been here for too long and there are too many people who know my face already. Not sure if there is anyone suspicious yet, but someone will surely start getting strange ideas. It always happens whenever I linger in the public's eye for too long. So you should take care of the cover of the business and if you want, I will take care of the decisions and planning. But you need to know everything anyway, so you will have to look through everything I'm doing and so on. Or we can just sell the company and move away. I got money enough for many lifetimes. We can stop working for a while... If you want to."

Songkarn was really thinking seriously. This was something that he had never had the possibility to consider doing. Running a company had never been a part of his plans. His plans had never been this grand. What did he want anyway? He wanted to be with Anurak. Anything else, he would probably be doing as Anurak wanted. So, they would run the company for the time being at least. But what would happen later? When was that later for them?

Songkarn knew that having these thoughts was dangerous, especially now that he was together with Anurak, so he quickly diverted his thoughts to another thing that worried him.

"Well, I'd like to finish this project with my team, uh... running a company would definitely be beneficial for me but there is something I'm interested in knowing."

Anurak looked at him carefully. Turning to face him fully again. They were on the bed. After the huge breakfast Songkarn had made him eat, he wanted to laze on the bed some more.

"What do you want to know, Songkarn?"

"What do you live for? What is it that you really want in your life?" Songkarn had thought long and hard and decided to ask the question that haunted him.

"I think I don't want anything. I'm happy if you're beside me and I really have been through most that a single person can live through, a lot more. Is there more to want in one's life?"

"Does it mean you have no ambitions for the rest of your life? It's been a long life, but as far as I know, you have forever to consider. Don't you want anything else in your life?"

"That's not what I mean. I got all that I've wanted until now. Wanting something means I lack the strength to take it."

"I don't get it..."

"Well, what I mean is that I have the strength to take it all. Whether it's wealth, physical strength or information. If there is anything I haven't got or haven't taken then I must not want it. I live according to my own priorities. Not like most other people live their lives. I guess it's taken about 1000 years to live like this, but now I feel certain in my road. Now I know who I am and what I want. Now it's easy to know and to take if needed."

"Oh, okay. It seems like a stretch to me. I actually can't figure out how to tell you the things I feel yet. So, I can't even imagine how to talk about important stuff like this. Or even how to take important decisions in life." Songkarn looked so troubled that Anurak brushed his hand across Songkarn's brow.
