A/N: Hello fellow readers, I have made a few edits to try to make this story to make more sense. Most edits were done in Chapter 39. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but please understand that all I want to do is to make this story better.
"Atapua," Moana repeated the name of the island once more. "The name itself sounds beautiful. I wonder what kind of beauty is there..."
"It will obviously be a heart of darkness coated with flowers and petals," Maui said before he bit into a mango.
"Do you have to be negative about this?" Moana asked as she snatched the mango out of Maui's hand.
"Hey! Give me my mango back!" Maui said as he snatched it back from her. "Besides, chief, nothing turned out pretty with the things and people we had to deal with until we sealed them into these charms."
"I guess that makes sense," Moana said.
"We're almost there, and it's the second to last one, so we gotta be prepared," Maui said. "It doesn't look that bad... it seems... colorful!"
"Are those real flowers?" Moana asked as she climbed the pole and looked more closely as she lifted her hair. "Wow... they ARE flowers! How can those flowers be this huge?"
"But like I said-" Maui wanted to confirm that the island may look beautiful but the beauty covered the heart of darkness, but then Moana gave him 'the glare' and that made Maui shut his mouth tight.
"Remind yourself, it looks like we're capturing them, but they need to know we're trying to help them," Moana said. "Kapu'uila is really going to get it."
I swear he was not that kind of demigod, Maui was still confused. I wonder what happened to him. I thought he passed at first, but apparently, he was just prisoned.
"Maui, we're almost there," Moana said. "Let's get ready to dock."
"Sure thing, chief!" Maui said, as usual.
Moana and Maui docked on the island like they always have. However, the beach was not sand. It was smooth, soft, and cool. "Is this soil?" Moana asked as she tapped on the land with both Pua and Heihei in her hands. "How is soil on the beach? This is the first."
"Never seen this kind of beach in my whole life," Maui agreed. "No seashells, no sand, no heat..."
"I love it!" Moana said as she hopped on the soil. "I was tired of stepping on rough, hot beach surfaces, but now, it's soft cool soil!"
"Probably it's too keep those flowers alive," Maui said as he looked far to the flowers. "Speaking of the flowers, many of them sure are huge."
"Yeah, we can probably all fit in one of them," Moana said. "Should we spend here for the night?"
"After the mission is completed on this island," Maui said.
"Yes, after the mission is completed on this island," Moana confirmed. "And then there will be one more charm left."
"We're almost there, chief," Maui said.
"We're getting closer to Kapu'uila," Moana said. "Let's go." As they entered the forest, the sweet aroma of flowers pleased Moana and Maui. "These flowers smell really good."
"They sure do," Maui agreed.
"Not sure if Motunui had flowers with such aroma," Moana asked. "I wish there was some way I can plant some of these on Motunui."
"Good suggestion, but the leaves and petals are too large it is going to be inconvenient to walk around with the jungle of these," Maui said.
"You're right," Moana said. "But maybe a few..."
