Harvesting was much easier for Moana since Maui helped her. He was in the island for only few hours and everyone loves him. During break, Moana went to go feed Heihei and Pua while Maui talked bunch of people. In a distance, while Moana were feeding her animal pets, she saw Maui showing his transformation to people. "Well, he's having fun."
"Moana," Tui called right beside her.
"Oh, hey dad!" Moana stood up.
"I'm glad you brought Maui here," Tho said. "Our people love him and he is so helpful!"
"Well, he wants to be recognized as 'Hero to All' even after restoring Te Fiti's heart," Moana explained.
"I'm sure he will be," Tho replied.
"Dad, can you watch over for me? I want to get to the peak," Moana requested.
"Sure, take your time," Tho kindly took the offer.
Moana hiked up to the peak where her ancestors stack all the stones. She remembered when she placed the conch when she became the chief. She loved viewing the sea from the highest point of Motunui. "Just look at that endless horizon and the beautiful orange sunset!" She remarked to herself. She let the orange sunlight shine upon her shell. She felt proud and satisfied whenever she looked at her shell because it proves to Moana that she found a true meaning in her life and what she and the villagers are meant to be. Just as she was being amazed by her own accomplishment, a hawk flew and landed behind her. She gasped and flinched for a second but then she realized that it was Maui. "Oh, Maui! You scared me!"
"Sorry, Moana, just needed inspiration and advice from you," Maui requested.
"Umm okay... for what?" Moana asked with a warm smile across her face.
He leaned over her and whispered, "You gotta keep this a secret okay?"
"Just tell me, what is it?" Moana asked as she leaned her ear to Maui.
"Okay, I found a woman in this island and she is so cool!" Maui said excitedly.
Moana's smile on her face disappeared. "Uh, what?"
"Okay, she has a lot of responsibilities, she's really good at picking berries, talented in fishing, very quick at climbing trees and picking coconuts, and she's single!" Maui said. "She really met up to my expectation, and I really want to ask her out on a date and I really need your advice."
Moana stood there, shocked and disappointed with Maui's request and his story. I knew this was never gonna happen, but I never knew he'd fall for another mortal.
"Is everything okay?" Maui noticed her facial expression. "Should I come back later and ask?"
"No, no, I'm fine, I was just thinking." She took a silent deep breath and said, "be yourself, try not to overreact, don't let other factors keep you back from being yourself, make her a headband made of flowers, and be confident too. If the man of my dreams did that, I'm sure I'd be happy." Then she said with full of pride, "But as you know, I am an independent woman who doesn't need a man in my life."
"I see," Maui said understandingly, "so you wanna go back down?"
Moana headed down with Maui. "So, Maui," she started, "do you think you can help me with fishing? I think we need more fishers tonight."
"I'd like to help you," Maui replied, "but I should make that flower headband that you suggested. Maybe next time!"
"Oh, okay. I understand. I mean, I can do it myself if you can't help me." Moana was even more disappointed.
