Bucky POV

"can i pwease eat 'nother cookie bubby?" Wanda asks with her big round puppy eyes.

No. Don't look Bucky. It's a trap. Noo don't loo-

"Fine. Just a small one though." I hear myself say.

Damn those puppy eyes.

"Yay!!" Wanda squeals as if she got more presents on Christmas.

Oh my god. What time is it? I look to the nearest clock on the wall.

It's 5:13 a.m?! We've both been up making cookies for like an hour and a half. Meaning Wanda only had like 2 and a half hours of sleep?!

"Wanda? Are you tired?" I ask with a raised brow.

She looks at me with eyes widened slightly and she shook her head no.

"Come on Wanda, you can tell me the truth"

With a guilty look she nodded slowly.

"Aww Wanda. We can eat more cookies in the morning, so why don't we go to sleep now?" I kneel to her height.

She shook her head no and start to cry.

"What's wrong doll?" I take her into my arms and try to soothe her.

Wanda was full on crying, not like one of my little sisters whining tantrums ( little sister in the 40s ), but like full on crying as if something bad has happened.

I take a seat in the comfy reclining chair still holding Wanda.

"Shh it's okay. It's okay." I say softly as she still continues to cry. I still hold onto her though.

"What's wrong? Why don't you want to sleep?" I ask gently, playing with her hair trying to calm her down.

She starts crying if possible even harder.

"Shhhh Doll. Are they nightmares?" I ask.

Even though she was still crying, she nods.

"Aww doll. It's okay. Everyone gets nightmares. I get them too." I say, trying to soothe her.

After her sobs turn to small cries, she ask,
"w-weally?"

"Yeah they're not cool either.."

After a few moments, I break the silence.

"What are your nightmares about?"

She looks at me with a heartbreaking look.

"t-the m-mean people v-very mean. t-they hit me and say i b-bad girl. a-and then they p-put 'ometing green in wight here and it hurts. i on fire." She point to her neck. I start to look closer and I can see some faint syringe marks on her neck.

"Did they hurt?" I whisper sadly.

"t-they hurt lots." She said with some tears.
