Clint POV
"Who's waking her up?" Bucky ask as all of us stare at a sleeping baby. "Clint." Natasha says before I can say her name. "Okay." I breathe out.
I sit on the bed and start to shake Wanda a bit. "Wanda, time to wake up now." Wanda starts to groan and starts to rub her eyes. "Hey sweetie." I say softly pulling her into my lap. "Cwin?" Wanda says drowsily.
"How 'bout you open your eyes and see?" I chuckle. "Cwin! Asha! Bubby!" She exclaims excitedly. "Hi Wanda." "Hey Kid." Natasha and Bucky say smiling. "Heyya lil missy." I smile ruffling her hair.
"what we doin 'ere?" Wanda ask confused. I look at Natasha and Bucky who don't want to meet eye to eye.
"um well, did um some mean people put something in your neck yesterday?" I ask awkwardly. She nods hesitantly. "It hwurt." Wanda whimpers.
"Shh sweetie, I know it hurts, but we need to know what it is because we don't want you to get sick or hurt, so we need to draw your blood." I say sadly, not wanting to freak her out, but it did.
Wanda's eyes widened. "Noo Cwin no pokey pwease it hwurts." Wanda begs, which breaks by heart. "Shh Wanda sweetie, it'll be okay. Natasha, Bucky and I will be here. No one will hurt you. Bruce will be very gentle I promise." I rub her back slowly trying to soothe her.
"We'll be with you the entire time, it'll be okay." Natasha tried to calm her down. "N-noOo no pokey needle. No pwease Cwin pwease Asha pwease bubby." Wanda chokes out a sob begging.
I almost give in to her precious little eyes, but then I remember it's for her well being and not give in. "Wanda, you have to we need to know why so you don't get sick or worse. Shh baby it'll be okay." I whisper in her ear trying to calm her down. Unfortunately it didn't and this time she started to cry harder. "Wanda come on sweetie it'll be okay. Please don't cry." Natasha tries to console her. "N-no pokey. No h-hurts." Wanda sobs.
I can't take THIS ANYMORE.
It's hurts me physically and mentally to watch Wanda in pain. She like my kid, my daughter. When she cries it kills me. When she's hurt it, uh well kills me too.
I silently get off of the bed, carry her onto Bucky's lap, I kiss her cheek and leave the room.
