no ones POV
"Mr. Odinson-'' Friday began. "Ah no. It is just Loki lady in the wall." Loki interrupts the AI. "Well, Loki, my name is Friday. Not 'Lady in the Wall'." Friday mimics his accent.
"My apologies...?" Loki was somewhat confused. "Noted."
"When was the last time Wanda ate solid food? Like a meal." Loki asks. "The chicken nuggets at around 2:30-'' "Before that." He grumbles. "Well specifics are key. Checking security footage... the last time Wanda was seen eating solid food, as a meal, was two weeks ago." Friday says, her voice laced with sorrow at the end.
Loki visibility paled.
two weeks?!
"And you're being serious?" He asks, hoping for what he knows isn't true. "I'm afraid so."
Loki looks down at the baby in his arms and he had a closer look at her.
For one, she looked physically smaller than she had two weeks ago, especially on weight size he noticed. Baby Wanda was still wrapped snuggly in her blanket, but from what he remembered of her eyes, they were itchy pink and had bags under her eyes from lack of sleep.
"But I do recall Ms.Hill telling the rest of the Avengers Wanda and herself have already eaten beforehand when they were out during the day." Friday spoke up.
If there were a word for 'bullshit' in Asgardian, Loki would be cursing it out right now.
"Friday do a full body scan on her." He says, upwards. Friday doesn't even take her time to pest him around but immediately does as assigned.
"Wanda Maximoff is 7.47 pounds and severely dehydrated. Temperature is 102.3. There are bruises located around her hipbone, shoulder, and inner thighs. No signs of assault. It is imperative she is removed from her blankets or anything keeping her warm and she needs to drink a bottle of water. It is a miracle she's still responsive and slightly active. I do not understand why my protocols were disconnected, it was not Mr.Stark's doing." Friday immediately responds.
"Two weeks. And no one has noticed." Loki practically growls. The first thing he does is unwrap her from her blanket and begins takes her clothing off as well.
Wanda squirms and whimpers from the cold air enveloping her body and tries to attach herself to something or someone warm.
"mgmh mmghnn" she whines, shivering.
"Shh Wanda.. I know, I know." Loki tries to console, but when he see the light purple bruises, he couldn't help it but his eyes go wide.
There were mini ones scattered around her hips and inner thighs and two larger ones on the side of her right arm and hip. The purple bruises do not belong on a baby's body, mortal or Asgardian.
"What on Asgard- Friday how did this happened?'' Loki nearly shouts.
"My apologies Loki, but there was some sort of glitch during various times these past 2 weeks. I will look into it further but I do suggest giving de-aged Wanda some water." Friday responses quickly.
"Wanda, Wanda, who's doing this to you?" He mutters under his breath and urgently he went to fill up her water and got some ice packs for, well, everything!
She was tucked into a ball for warmth but her teeth was chattering and she was shivering. "Friday, are you sure she's that hot, she looks freezing." Loki asks concerned. "Temperature status is 101.8."
'that's still pretty high.' He frowns.
Loki watched her miserably roll around to find warmth and scoops her into his arms and cradles her. "Wanda..wanda, come on wake up darling." he rocked her awake and pokes her cheek. "c-c..cowd-d.." she trembles, curling into his warmth.
