"Bye Kina!" Debra Weebley calls from the bakery's counter as I step outside.

"Bye Debra! Let me know how the cake turns out" I send her a smile as she pops her head out from under the counter, where she had been under looking for the flour.

"Sure thing dal!" She holds a thumbs up just as a bag of flour falls and a cloud enfolds her as she gasps in shock. "Oh dear-y me!"

My eyes widen as I step back inside, worried. "Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine, Kina. You go on and get home. I bet that best friend of yours hasn't been able to sit still without you there."

I chuckle at how correct she was. Archie couldn't last an hour without me. That boy clings to me as if he were a koala and i was his eucalyptus tree.

"Okay, i'll see you later!" I bid Debra another goodbye before rushing out of the bakery to start my venture home. Feeling the heat really hit me, making me want to literally just cry at how humid the air was.

When I arrived home I had instantly showered to cool down. Having had washed my hair and body, I felt refreshed and energised after an early Sunday morning shift at the bakery.

The cake was coming together nicely and Debra was so excited that she decided to stay back to continue our masterpiece.

When I arrived home though, I remembered that my parents weren't home and had actually left to go on that the trip they notified be about three weeks ago, they were off to venture the beauty that Greece provides. It was kind of upsetting that they won't be here for my graduation but I still had Archie, Leona and Ian who were going to be there and they were like my second family.

I have to admit I was a little envious of my parents but I know I didn't have the option to go. Due to graduation coming up, Mrs Weebley at the bakery and plans with Archie to go to Lake Burlwood for two days.

Speaking of Lake Burlwood, I decide to message Archie to see if we were still going.

Kina: Hey Archie, are we still going to Lake Burlwood for two days?

I didn't get a reply back which was odd. Usually he replies back instantly unless he's at training or is showering.

I guess he's having those days where he locks his phone away and forces himself to go outside and do normal things without technology distracting him. He claims it helps clear his mind from negative things and he apparently feels fresher.
