Kina
When pushing the door open, I expected to see either Leona, Ian or Archie but instead I find little cousins of Harry and Archie's, running around playing. Whilst the adults are definitely outside drinking, cooking a bbq and enjoying each other's company.
Harry seemed to deflate a little. Looking slightly anxious now that we can hear them outside. He starts to fix his shirt, hair and jeans to look a bit more presentable.
On our way to the back door, I place the platter down on the kitchen counter as Harry looks around the house. Looking like he is reminiscing on the many memories that the walls enclose in here.
It's when the back door comes into view, does he begin to freak out a little. I turn towards him and look at him worried. "Harry..calm down."
He breathes in and out roughly. "Don't" he says a little harshly. I almost feel hurt at his tone but I remind myself that he has always been like this. I roll my eyes and move over to him to calm him down but stop when he sends me a very familiar look.
One that says to not come near him. I feel a little annoyed at that. God I've always hated that look.
"I don't need your sympathy. I'm fine" he mutters. I just look at him for a few long moments before shaking my head. "I don't need you to hold my hand-"
"Fine" I interrupt him, "go out there alone then" I begin to turn around and make my way for the door.
I expect him to ask me to wait and apologise but instead I hear, "good."
Yep he's still that asshole which I honestly do not miss.
When opening the back door, I'm greeted by Uncles, Aunts, friends and other family members. I stop to give them a hug as they all wish me luck for graduation on Wednesday. I hug Ian and Leona hello, trying to keep my cool because I know they're going to go into shock when Harry walks out.
"Kina!" Archie smiles over to me with Emanuel, Alissa and Charlie. Even our friends Niall, Liam and Louis there as well. The other boys were actually Harry's friends which Archie befriended when Harry left. They were pretty cool guys to be honest.
"Hey guys" I murmur. Not really feeling the slightest of happiness now that I know what's going to happen.
When I plonk down on a chair, I glance towards the door when a familiar figure comes into view.
Which, honestly, I expected everyone to notice him but they were all too busy chatting and keeping themselves occupied to even notice. Harry looks directly over to me, a blank look on his face as he walks out and over to his mother who stands closest to him. Archie was too caught up in Alissa to notice my eyes locked in on his brother who now looks away and focuses on his mother.
