Kina
After spending a very quiet and awkward night with Archie and his family, I now sit in my car as I drive home. Thinking about tonight's events and how much of a shit show it turned out to be.
I'm honestly still a little shocked at Harry's arrival but mostly angry at myself for letting him so willingly come in and ruin Archie's night. I feel like an idiot but deep down I know that if I tried to stop Harry, he would have done it either way. Whether that would have been tonight, tomorrow or even on our graduation.
I could have at least told Harry to surprise his family after graduation, when everyone isn't so stressed out. I think things would have run more smoothly and I could have given Archie a heads up.
I feel like it's mostly my fault for how things turned out to be honest..
Leona was hysterical and had walked up stairs to be alone for the rest of the night as Ian tried his best to keep an enthusiastic smile on for his guests. Catering to them with food and entertainment.
I felt so bad for them. I could only imagine what it would feel like seeing your son after so many years with no contact. Wondering if he is well and safe.
Pulling up to my driveway, I park and hop out of my car. Trying to keep my mind from running a hundred mile an hour with thoughts on Harry. I grasp my belongings and make my way up to my front door. Unlocking the wooden door, I am greeted by my cat who purrs from the bottom step of the stair case.
"Hey Whiskers" I coo as I place my stuff on the ground, kneeling down to pat her. She trots over with her chin up and eyes closed, rubbing the side of her belly into my hand and making a noise of happiness.
"C'mom..let's go to bed" I close the front door and lock it. Grasping my stuff and making my way up stairs to have a shower and go to bed. Whiskers following close on my tail as she meows loudly.

When I woke up this morning, I had messaged Archie to see how he was feeling and received a text back saying that he decided to stay at his cousins house to get his mind off of things. I replied saying that if he needs anything to just message me.
I now stand in the bakery, decorating brownies with raspberries. Debra decided to get me to make them as she worked on her plans for her cake decor. She said that I could take some brownies home which I honestly wasn't complaining about as they were extremely delicious.
I'm guessing Debra is liking my company around here. Especially since she is alone here everyday, baking to ensure that everyone around town gets a fresh loaf of bread and sweets. She was well known for her magic touch with her baked delights here. Always creating new things and finding that everything is always sold out by the end of the day.
As I add a raspberry to one of the slices of brownie, the bell chiming at the front of the store is heard. I expect to hear Debra begin conversation with a customer, but instead she calls out from her office, "Kina darling! would you mind serving this customer? I'm on the phone ordering my next batch of flour and eggs."
