43.Manik's POV

 Manik's POV

 "Jason are you sure it is the same location?" I asked him to make sure of Nandini's location. After she left we followed, her but we missed her near SPACE. Even her cell's GPS was not working, so I started the GPS from my grand ma's chain. Yes, the chain which had the flower pendant had GPS in it. I had attached it to ensure her safety. "Manik don't worry we will save her." Commissioner uncle said seeing my non ending rants of Nandini.

 The police force was involved when the proofs were telecasted, so no one knew about it. I didn't even tell Nandini. As we were about to enter the torn building I was greeted with the shouting of Vidya through window. I signalled Jason who started recording her confession. I knew Vidya was behind all this and even Nandini. When Kabir brought the past of Vidya, Nandini observed the odd thing about accident of Talwar couple. The dead people were Talwar and Vaseema who was a child of their maid. We thought of using Fareen. Khan, but they abducted Rishab and we had to change the plan.

 Vaseema aimed at Nandini with her gun, but I barged in when she was speaking some non sense. "Hands up! You are surrounded by police, don't do something stupid" was the last thing before I was tackled by a man. I punched him and everyone was helping me. I released Nandini who had a big smile on her face. "We did it Manik." her angelic voice was cracking, but it was the happy moment for her. "Yes we did it." I said and was about to kiss but "Please do your romance after fight. Now if you are done, release me. Even I want to kick some butts, especially the red one who snatched my precious Vada pav." by this I got confirmed that whole family is a foodie.

 I was releasing Rishab but someone pushed me to the ground at the middle. I was about to punch, but what I saw made me freeze in the spot. Nandini lay on the ground with blood all over her. "Nandini! Nandini wake up." I examined her body only to notice a bullet pierced near her shoulder. "Manik take Nandini to the hospital! We will handle this." Druv shouted at me. I did not wait for a second to oblige. I had taken my car with my while leaving the bungalow.

 "We will look into it, please fill the form." the doctor handed me the form. I remembered Nandini's words on the day of my birthday. She was scared to loose me, so she had given me the bracelet with a strong stone indicating the love between us. "Manik, how is Nandu? Is she ok?" Nandu's uncle came running to me. I hugged him and explained him the situation. Nandu's Amms was crying hearing it. She may have blamed Nandini hundred times, but she loved her. I had seen this when I had been to Mangalore. 

 We all decided to wait for the doctor who operated Nandini. I thought about the time I met her first time. My dad along with his best friends had dared us to rag the freshers of college. His best friends were none other than Aliya and Kabir's father. When we were caught by my mom, Aliya's father dared me to take a nerd for a date. He knew I hated nerds, no offence, as I had taken 3 nerds for the date and everyone where headaches.

 The first nerd I took was completely a dependant one who said only one thing "Whatever you say is fine with me." this one statement was repeated for every statement I said, but I judged Nandini too soon. When she took me to the abandoned building I knew that she was something. After rescuing the girls I had decided to follow Nandini in every step but never thought that I would fall for a girl like her. I don't know how? when? where? I just got attracted and love was something that happened unexpectedly.

 Every second I spent with her was pure bliss. I wanted to spend my whole time with her. I had taken some suggestion from my parents too as I was not sure of my feelings but this was what love is. You know all her flaws even then you want to stay beside her. You know all her problems and you decide to stay beside her. When she confessed that she loved me I vowed that I will protect our relationship, but I couldn't protect her today. I feel so horrible for doing that to her. "Manik, it's noon please have something." Aunt Shanno offered some tea, but I denied that with a small smile.

 "Manik, if you won't have this Nandini will blame herself for giving this tension to you. You want her to feel guilty then don't have this. I know this is tough time, but Nandu is strong like that iron man or whatever that superwoman that Rishab showed me of some 'End Game.'" I genuinely laughed and took the tea. I just wish she is ok. I don't know what is happening in that torn building where my friends' lives are at stake. I wish everything to be ok.

 "Manik. Malhotra!" a nurse called me and gestured me to follow to doctor's cabin. "Well, Mr. Malhotra, your girl friend is ok. She needs a lot of rest and food for energy. I have written some tablets and treatment. We will keep her here for observation. Then she should come here monthly for check up. I will see the development and we can stop her treatment once she is recovered." he said and handed me some prescription. 

 "Thank you doctor." I shook my hands with him "It is our duty, but Miss. Murthy was really lucky as she got the bullet to her shoulder, if it was five inches down then she would have died in spot. Anyways, I have given her anaesthesia so she would be waking up within two hours." the doctor said and left the cabin.

 I gave the news to her family and everyone were relieved.
