Life always throws you innumerable choices. In that, you try to find the best choice to find the perfect life, but the reality is, there exist no perfect life. Life also gives us unexpected situations and unexpected turns in life. I feel now, I have got the most unexpected turn of my life. I am sitting beside Manik on the passenger seat of his car while he is driving me to my Amms's place, Mangalore.

"Nandini why all of a sudden you want us to go to Mangalore?" Manik's voice brought me out of my thoughts. "You know the constable who informed us that Varna was found dead near the abandoned bridge?" he nodded hearing me with a hmm. "The bridge is 'Kariwala bridge'. He had called me today and informed that a couple was found dead just 2 miles away form her. When I requested more information the couple was with their daughter,r but thankfully the daughter was saved by Mrs. Hariharan." I want answers for all the bugging question.

"And how is it related to you going Mangalore?" Manik asked as I did not tell the main purpose of it. "The daughter of that couple was none other than Nandini. Murthy." as soon as I said this the car came to halt with a jerk. "Holy carrots!!" wow I never heard such swearing. "How did you get to know that the couple were your parents?" a frown was formed on Manik's face.

"The constable gave the number of his friend who worked at that time. I called him and asked him about it. He said that the couple met an accident near that bridge. Their car got inverted by a truck as per their investigation. Then he gave this information of the daughter of a week who Varna. Hariharan saved, as she was passing by the road. She started following the truck only to end up dead." I said. I had calculated everything correctly.

"When I got to know that Varna's and my parent's death day is one and the same, I had some doubt, but I brushed it off. I thought it was just a mere coincidence. When I heard that constable everything became clear. Actually Varna was the one who called the police seeing the state of the car of my parents." a tear drop trailed form eyes which was wiped by Manik.

"let's get answers to your questions from your Amms shall we?" I nodded with a smile and drove off.

............................................

It was morning 10 am when we both reached the Mangalore. Thank god Manik had hired the driver in Pune so it should not be difficult during night. After 6 hours of driving Manik made the driver to drive the car. When I reached the destination, I did not wait for a second before rushing inside the house calling Amms on my way.

"Oh, finally the queen had the time to visit me. I thought she will be very busy as I should ask her appointment." my Amms mocked me walking from kitchen. I can see aunt Shanno having the unshed tears in her eyes. She went inside probably to call uncle. "Did my parents really die in the hands of thieves?" I asked straight and her expressions gave away everything I once assumed truth. She just looked away as if she didn't hear. "I am asking you something!!" now I yelled.

I remembered all her blame on me how I was disgrace to my family? and I couldn't control the rage which was building. Manik came beside me and gave a squeeze to my hand to  be calm. By now uncle also had arrived, but the question made him confused. "I do..n't.." I didn't let her complete "Appa and Amma died in an accident. The car got inverted by a truck. Am I right?" she didn't respond "Am I right?!!" I yelled to which she flinched.

"yes, they died in an accident when they were bringing you from hospital. Do you know what happened after you were rescued? Your life was threatened. The people who killed your parents threatened me if I filed any case against them. I left Mumbai, but guess what? they had constant tabs over us so I had to curse you to stay away from us. I wanted to save my remaining family so I sent you boarding school and let you live your life as per your wish.!!" she yelled and it brought tears which was non-stoppable. Manik side hugged me and said soothing words.

"Amma how could you? that girl was trying to find some love and you sent her away because you felt danger?" uncle asked unable to handle his mother's idiocy. "Then tell me what would have I done? I thought sending her may keep us and as well as her safe." she said fumbling with her words. "they may have threatened us for maximum of 5 times then they would forget it, but why did you blame Nandu for the mistakes she never committed Amma? I am disappointed in you. I thought you were very much broken by your daughter's death and to give you some time I thought of sending Nandu to Mumbai." he was at the verge of crying.

Uncle always told that my mother and him shared a very unique bond other than sibling. He used to tell me stories of my mother and him. He came near me and joined his hands in front of me "I am sorry Nandu." I quickly wiped the tears which were flowing by now. I held his hand "Uncle, I say 'uncle' as the relation we share, but you are not less than my father, please don't ask sorry." he looked at Manik and frowned before I could tell him Manik beat me.

"I am Manik. Malhotra, Nandini's boyfriend." he said and bent down to take blessings. My eyes widened hearing him. Uncle was all in that overprotective father mode what surprised me was Aunty. "My Nandu has grown up finally." she said and kissed my forehead.

I can see the questioning look of uncle, Amms and Rishab. How am I gonna escape this?
