"Okay... the NightWing village..." I say, in my 'nice' voice. It doesn't make too much sense. Like, why wouldn't she just head back to her parents? Or maybe her parents live in the NightWing village? Man, this is confusing.

"I don't think she's heard of Possibility." I mock-whisper to Turtle, who is sitting beside me. I make sure I stay far away enough so that I don't touch him, which is why I have to whisper loudly so he can hear.

"Yeah... Possibility! Guys, what if we go to Possibility!" Turtle says, he face brightening. In Possibility, all dragon tribes can live there, but it IS in the desert. So Winter doesn't like it much. Possibility was where someone left that stupid cacti-bomb-thing just laying there in the street and it blew up all in my face AND WHAT IDIOT WOULD LEAVE THAT IN THE STREET.

"Yeah! That would work!" Moon says, and everyone just starts nodding along when someone abruptly bursts into the snack cave where we sit. I turn to see Zero, and I wrinkle my snout. Why is he here?

"I'm going with you."

Everyone has mixed reactions. Both Winter and Qibli look doubtful, their faces reading that no-you're-not look. Moon and Turtle look both confused and relived, oddly. Kinkajou just looks happy, her expression showing a the-more-the-merrier look. Secretdawn looks almost pleased. I'm just confused. He can't come with us! Why would he want to come with us?

Qibli speaks first. "No, you're not."

"Yes I am." Zero looks directly at Qibli when he speaks.

"You can't." Winter retorts.

"But I can." Zero says it firmly, but his voice cracks. He's going to lose.

"No, you won't be coming with-"

"Yes, he has to come. The prophecy says eight dragons must leave, and Zero would be number eight. There are only seven of us if you take me and not Zero. And, if you don't let Zero come, there will be only six, because I'm not leaving with out him." Secretdawn cuts off Qibli with a look that screams firmness and rings with confidence.

"But-"

"No. I simply won't join you if Zero doesn't come." She interrupts Qibli again, and he's starting to get annoyed.

"Qibli, Winter, Secretdawn is right. The prophecy does say eight dragons have to complete the mission." Moon says carefully, her tone gentle. Winter huffs and Qibli snorts, but at Moon's words, they'll let Zero come.

"Fine." Winter grumbles, and Qibli just nods. Zero and Secretdawn both beam, but I feel kinda annoyed. More like really annoyed. Now I have to worry about ANOTHER dragon being burnt to a crisp and now there will be ANOTHER dragon giving me weird looks when we are about to sleep, like I-really-hope-you-don't-kill-me-in-my-sleep looks and now I have to worry about ANOTHER dragon thinking about how many dragons I've killed and thinking of me as a murderer. ARG. And it's an ICEWING. UGH.

Why couldn't we just go without Zero and Secretdawn?

***************************

Possibility! I was there! I think........ honestly I don't remember that, but when I asked Moon, she said that was where a doctor tried to heal me after I was ambushed while saving the world! The first time! Either way, it seems that is where we are headed. I don't really get why Winter and Qibli are so against Secretdawn and Zero. I mean, Secretdawn has some sort of super cool NightWing powers like Moon, and Zero is another dragon. The more dragons, the stronger we are, right? Now there are TWO IceWings coming with us which is DOUBLE the frosty breath stuff. Even though Secretdawn could be dangerous and all, she doesn't LOOK dangerous. Moon doesn't look dangerous either but Darkstalker looked SUPER dangerous.

I smile brightly, my scales shifting to gold with happiness as we exit the cave. The dragonets all know where we are going, so we just take off, flying towards the Sand Kingdom and Possibility. Turtle flies alongside me, and I can feel a slight change of my emotion. I know that Anemone took off the love spell that she put on which was SO NOT COOL TO PUT A SPELL ON ME but maybe thinking that I had feelings for Turtle got me to...have feelings for him? Maybe? He watches me intently as I tell him about the dream I had last night. My ears start to turn pink at the tips as we fly away from Jade Mountain.

*****************************

I tilt up my head to soak in the sunlight as my dark wings catch a breeze. The cool blue sky starts getting darker as Jade Mountain Academy gets further behind us. We fly straight for Possibility, all 8 of us.

Does she like that I came along? That I burst into the cave like that? I can't lose a friend..

I quickly put Zero's thoughts into a raindrop, drowning it out into silence. I wonder how Secretdawn blocks my powers so easily. It's almost like she has skyfire, but instead of just a blank space, it feels like a wall has been built or a curtain pulled between her thoughts and me. The wall can crumble and the curtain can be pulled back, but no matter how hard I try, it seems impenetrable. Not that I try too hard. I respect that she has great boundaries and an even better force keeping me out. I also respect her privacy, but still.....it might be good to know what she knows. Maybe she DOES know what the prophecy means. But, it seems wrong to just push her into doing what I want. I sigh and Turtle says something about finding a place to land to sleep for the night. "Moon, are you okay?" Qibli asks from beside me.

"Yeah, I'm good." I reply, nodding as we land.

Qibli's face twists with worry, but he doesn't say any thing else. We all sit on the grassy earth and the others start to drift off to sleep. Soon, everyone is breathing deeply and peacefully- except for me and Secretdawn. I look over at her, and our eyes meet. She holds my stare, her purple eyes glowing in the dark.

"You know, I don't understand why we are going anyway. We don't know whether this 'prophecy is even real, we don't know where to start looking, and we COULD all die if this is actually real."

I look at her with a quizzical look. "You....don't think your prophecy is real?"

"I don't know. I can't even see it in ANY future. I've been looking this whole time, but it's pointless. Every word that comes out of every dragon here's mouth effects the timeline in some way, either big or small. It's.....overwhelming."

That's...different. I didn't think about the future seeing powers like that. I mean, I know mind reading is overwhelming, so I can only imagine seeing EVERY future possible...

Secretdawn yawns and lays down, muttering a goodnight before she, too, drifts off to sleep.

(Alright. Finally. This one took forever. ;-;)
