Thalia's Pov
"Miss Pavlou?", that bloody officer Groves said making me brutally face the reality. That poor man, it seems that faith didn't have any plans for him concerning love.
"Yes, Officer?", I answered making my best attempt to be polite.
After both of us realized that I haven't heard a single word coming out of his mouth I politely requested to repeat himself. It seems that both of us had in our minds the incident on the docks; of course, I am referring to the one and only Jack Sparrow. Surely not an easily forgettable name. When we were young Elizabeth's maid used to read to us pirate stories of which many were the adventures of this...odd man.
His style, his attitude...he was different. Notwithstanding I must admit it he was a smart man. The way he handled this bunch of soldiers truly impressed me.
"Miss Pavlou perhaps I should escort you home," said Groves with a shy smile on his face.
"I think you should cut that miss Pavlou thing. Would you?" I answered attempting to break the ice and avoid his question.
Nevertheless, I decided to offer him all of my "benevolent" vibes today so a asked him if he would like to come to our house for some tea.
"That would be lovely miss Pavlou", he said with a bright smile on his face.
His fortitude was admirable. If I were in his position I would probably seek vengeance.
And with that, I, head to our house watching the soldiers marching with such synchronization, which I found extremely superfluous at the moment, searching for the pirate.
Much to my surprise, nobody forestalled my decision to walk alone, since a notorious criminal is free and I am calmy walking in the streets of Port Royal...
Kassandra's Pov
After a few minutes of silence, my father just sat back to his beloved chair with his hands covering his wrinkled face.
"Kas I never-.," he said with such determination but was quickly interrupted by my mothers yelling.
"Thalia! It's covered in mud!" she said raising her voice to my sister.
I couldn't hear what the hell she said but I believe that her response would have contained an adequate amount of sass.
And that's when my 18 years old sister entered the living room.
She is all grown up now. She has become a fine lady indeed. I'm sure her allure and beauty are infamous not only in Port Royal the whole Spanish main.
"Hello, father. Hello miss. What would your name be?" she said so naturally making me roll my eyes unaware of our consanguinity.
"Queen Anne of England and you?"I say annoyed.
And that's when she took the hint.
"Kas?"
"Pardon?"
"Oh, my God!" she screamed out of joy while taking a few steps back making her stumble and fall on our father's chair.
"God, I've forgotten how stupid you are, "I say bending down beside her taking her hands in mine. That's when I realized how different we are when it comes to appearance no matter the fact that we are siblings. Her hands...gentle, alabaster, ladylike. Mine...rough, sun-kissed and sailor-like.
She just looked at me, saying absolutely nothing. Then she vigorously hugged me making us fall to the floor.
I immediately hugged her back and she started sobbing with all her heart.
