It was two weeks before the ball, Peyton was refreshing her email every second. She was in the doctor's lounge drinking her coffee. She was waiting for the new schedule to be posted praying and hoping she had to work the night of the ball.
The email finally came through as she read her schedule. "Son of a fucking bitch!" She mumbled and walked out tossing her coffee.
Bucky looked at Natasha. Natasha got the email "You have got to be kidding me..every fucking attending is on call that night." Natasha said.
Bucky shook his head "God damn it." He said as he walked out.
He found Peyton pacing in her office. "Peyton look at me darlin.. what's the matter?" He said as he stopped her.
"He's coming to the ball. I got an email from him last night. He said hey P cant wait to see you at the ball!" She said
Bucky shut her office then pulled her to stand between his legs. "Doll baby look at me. Now would be a good time just to let me know what the divorce was about. You don't have to tell me all the parts just the parts that you are comfortable with." He said as held her cheeks.
She looked down "He cheated on me with one of my residents my first year as a fellow. He ended it but soon enough he found himself another resident one of his residents. I walked in on him having sex with her and she was giving one of his colleagues head as my ex husband did her doggy style in the on call room. That's all you get for now. I'm not 100 percent ready to talk about the other reason. It was the final straw of our crumbling marriage." She said as tears fell.
"Baby.." he whispered
"And when I told his parents that. His dad was all men have urges Ive cheated on Brianna a few times. He made it seem like I was suppose to stick around and plaster a fake smile. And cheating isn't right its not fair to the other person." She said
"Shh I know that. Believe me I told you when we had dinner why me and Katie ended. It's one thing to find out about it but it's entirely different when you walk in on the act. You can't get that image out of your head." Bucky said as he hugged her.
A smile crept across his face. "You know what baby doll. You can show that dumb ass that you are doing just fine without him. And I'm gonna help you baby." He said as he held her waist.
She wiped her tears "How?"
"You'll see baby all you need to do is find you a sexy dress." He said as he kissed her forehead and went to do his surgery.

Two weeks later...
Dr Lincoln Baylor was sitting on a airplane. He was reading the medical journal his parents sent him. He turned the page to see his ex wife and the headline read.
"DR PEYTON ROBERTS. HEAD OF PEDIATRICS AT NYU HOSPITAL."
He continued to read her profile they did on her. He saw the rest of them and read each of them. He closed it up once they were landing in NY. His parents picked him up and took him back to their brownstone.
Meanwhile Peyton was with the girls getting their hair and nails done.
