It had been a month things were back to normal between Bucky and Peyton. One day she was doing her post opt notes when she heard.
"Dr Roberts..I was wondering if maybe we could grab dinner?"
She looked up to see her ex husband in scrubs with a NYU hospital badge. "What the hell are you doing here?" She said
"I work here now. And I'm gonna win you back." He said
She swallowed hard and then she went running. She wasn't paying attention and ran into something hard. She felt arms go around her "Peyton darlin" Bucky said
She tried to fight till she heard "Peyton it's James." He said as she stopped.
She looked up "baby doll what's wrong?"
"L-L Lincoln..he's here..he works..here" she said.
Bucky wrapped his arms around her. "Shh..Ive been trying to find you all morning but you have had back to back to surgeries. You are a popular lady this morning. He showed up at my office this morning cause I'm the head of neuro which is what his practice is." He whispered as he continued to hold her.
She looked up at him. "I won't let him hurt you. Believe me baby I have already had words with Fury this morning." He said as he let her go.
She swallowed hard then walked up to her floor. She finished her notes in her office and kept the door locked. At the end of day she was walking to her car.
"About that dinner?" Lincoln said
"Leave me alone! I hate you! You let my baby die cause you needed to fuck something! So stay the fuck away from me!" She yelled at him.
Bucky came up behind her "Baylor I told you once today and already informed Fury of your shenigans and your past with Dr Roberts. He informed me that one slip up and you will be fired."
He shook his head and got on his motorcycle and left. Bucky wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Baby it might be best if you stay with me get in my car." He said as he opened his passenger door.
She hit the lock button on her car. And it blew up she dropped everything in her hand. Bucky called 911 and did all the talking. She was sitting in his car shaking.
Once they had all they needed Bucky took her to his place.

"Natasha is going to get you some clothes from your place. Sam and Carol are going to make sure that your parents are okay." Bucky said as he helped her sit in his living room.
She kissed him. He moaned "God I love your lips." He whispered as he kissed back.
He helped her up when he saw some ash in her hair. "Come on darlin let's get you cleaned up baby."
