*Alex's Pov*

I wave goodbye to Shawn and I step inside. I walk into the kitchen and I grab a glass of water and an aspirin.

"Where have you been all night. I've been worried sick?" my mom yells walking into the kitchen.

"I was out having fun with my friends," I say taking a gulp of water, "And don't act like you care."

"Have you been drinking, and who's shirt is that?" my mom yells.

"Okay don't act all high and mighty with me after what I saw yesterday," I yell.

"Don't talk to me like that young lady I am your mother," my mom yells.

"If your my mother than act like one, don't go making out with your soon to be ex husband like you are a teenager," I yell.

"I know, I know, it was a one time thing, it's not going to happen again, but it's hard to forget 18 years of marriage," my mom sighs.

"You had to get married though you had me at 16 and your parents forced you to get married," I say.

"I loved your father very much but 16 was to early to get married we were still children who needed to grow up and as we did we grew apart, the kiss was us letting go of our past," my mom says.

"Does Hayden know, about the kiss?" I ask.

"No," my mom says.

"Good let's keep it that way, Hayden doesn't need to be even more confused then she already is about this whole thing," I say and I walk out of the room.

I go to my bedroom and I run myself a bath in my bathroom. I drop in a bath bomb and I just sit there and watch it swirl around for a while. I get in and I go through Instagram for a bit. I decide to DM Shawn.

Alex- Thanks for the lift home and I'm sorry for everything.

Shawn- It's okay and you're welcome.

Alex- See you Monday?

Shawn- See you Monday.

Without even realising I start to sing one of those nights which makes me smile. I decide to put on Shawn's album and I start to sing along to it. I get dressed and I look through the photos that use to be on my wall. I find one of Faith and I tear it up. Why would she do something like that to me?

I walk over to my keyboard and I start to play 'Say Something' by A Great Big World. I know , depressing, but I'm not in a very happy mood.

I remember the last day I saw my dad as if it only happened moments ago. It was the beginning of the summer and our parents had just told us they were getting a divorce. I woke up in the middle of the night because I thought I heard something. I walked out of my room to see my dad standing there with a few bags. He told me he was going to be out of town for a few days for meetings and to go back to bed, so I did. Weeks went by and I knew he wasn't coming back but Hayden still had hope.

I finish the song and I notice tears are streaming down my face. I hear a knock at the door I wipe away the tears and I turn around to see Hayden leaning against the door frame.

"You okay?" She asks.

"Yeah I'm fine, Why?" I ask.

"I can tell you have been crying and you were playing Say Something which you only play when you are sad," Hayden says sitting down on my bed.

"I'm fine really, there's just a lot going on," I say sitting down beside her.

"I really miss him, dad," Hayden says resting her head on my sholder.

"I know," I say resting my head on hers and we sit here in silence for a while, "Okay let's go."

"Go where?" Hayden asks.

"You'll see," I say standing up.

Hayden goes and gets dressed and I change then we head out to the car. We go to Tim's first and then we head to our secret destination. We pull up and head inside.

"Yay rock climbing," Hayden squeals.

During that summer any time Hayden or I were sad we would come here and rock climb. It would distract us and we got to talk which we don't do a lot these days.

"Hey girl's haven't seen you in a while," Lisa a girl who works here says.

"Yeah, I know life's been well life," I smile.

She hands us our shoes and we put them on and put our stuff in lockers. I put my hair up in a pony tail and then Lisa gives us chalk bags. We decide to do bouldering which is like rock climbing but without a harness. We head over to the first wall and we start climbing.

"I really missed hanging out with you," Hayden smiles as we climb.

"Me too," I smile back.

We climb and chat for just under an hour then we head to the last wall. I start to climb up when my foot slips and I lose my grip and start to fall from quite high up but someone catches me.

"Shawn," I say after seeing who caught me, "What are you doing here?"

"Your welcome," Shawn laughs.

"Thanks," I blush.

"I'm here with my friend Brian celebrating him getting early acceptance to a collage in Australia," Shawn says, What are you doing here?"

"I'm here with Hayden just for fun," I smile then we stand there for a minuet in complete silence just looking each other in the eyes.

"Well I should get going," Shawn says without breaking eye contact.

"Yeah me too, I'll see you Monday," I say still looking in his eyes.

"Yeah see you Monday," Shawn says I nod and I walk away.

"Smooth," Hayden giggles as we walk to the lockers.

"Shut up," I say pushing her away from me.

We head home and Hayden and I have a movie night. We watch lodes of the classics like Dirty Dancing, Risky Business, 16 Candles, Footloose, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and a lot more. We end up crashing on the couch.

I spend all of Sunday laying around doing nothing other than making muffins and watching Grey's Anatomy while thinking about Shawn the whole time.
