Amelia POV
"Please tell me you're doing something more proactive than reading," Hayley Marshall said to me as I said down with Esther Mikaelson's old witchcraft book. "It's something I always see Elijah doing and it bothers me."
I shrugged. "For your information, Elijah's the one that mentioned I read this book last night."
Hayley looked utterly upset. "Amy, please be careful with Elijah."
I looked up at her, confusion lacing my voice. "What are you talking about, Hayley?"
She sighed and sat down in the chair opposite of mine. "I was in love with Elijah at one point. And I thought he was the love of my life, but I was wrong. I know how close you and Elijah are becoming and it would hurt me to see him hurt again, so I'm just asking you to be careful around him. Please?"
I shook my head, trying hard not to laugh. "Hayley, you have it all wrong. I'm not in love with Elijah or anything, were just friends. Besides, I think he's not quite over you yet. I noticed his screensaver on his cellphone is a picture of you..." I trailed off, realizing what I just said. "Oops."
Hayley smiled. "It's okay. Anyways, Ill leave you to this."
She stalked out, annoyance clearly on her face.
I sighed. I seemed to annoy a lot of people. I knew why, too. I let my big mouth say things I don't intend to and it gets me nowhere.
"That seemed like a nice conversation," Elijah said, walking in.
Shit, did he just hear us talking?
I rolled my eyes. "Figures you'd be the one to be stalking someone."
He looked confused. "That doesn't sound like me at all. I just heard the last little bit of the conversation, darling."
I rolled my eyes at the darling thing. I was about to reply when a sliver dagger suddenly flew into Elijah's chest. He collapsed, turning grey. I widened my eyes and sat there in shock. Next thing I know, my neck is being snapped and everything turns black.Elijah POV
I wake up to see Niklaus leaning over me, a sliver dagger in his hand.
"Hello," he casually says. "We have a slight problem."
Well damn.Amelia POV
I awoke to a musty smell, something rotten of sorts. I couldn't hear anything and my vision was clouded. Was I being drugged with vervain? I really want out of this. I hope Elijah's okay.Elijah POV
"What do you mean she's been kidnapped?" I'm trying to stay calm, but how can I when I just found out Amelia has been kidnapped? I have recently gotten to know her and found out we have a lot in common and I like her presence. Now she's been taken and I'm losing my mind.
"Who the hell would want to take her anyways?" Hayley asked, looking sceptical.
Niklaus had that knowing look on his face. "I know of one person. Silas."
Amelia POV
I was now to the point where I could barely breath. I heard footsteps, but I couldn't register anything completely.
"Hello, love," a husky voice said.
I look up into the blue eyes of Tristian de Martel. "How are you holding up?"
I snarled in his face. "Fuck off, dick!"
He smiled, looking pleased. "Still the same Amelia I remember, huh?"
I sighed and leaned back in the chair I was tied to. I looked next to me and recognized Hayley's husband Jackson sitting next to me, still knocked out.
"What did you do to him?" I asked Tristian, feeling concerned for the newly wed. Truly, it's harder to kill me than Jackson. Jackson is just a new werewolf, I'm an eight hundred year old vampire.
"Nothing of you're concern," Tristian quipped. He looked upset about something, but the look washed away from his features the second it appeared. "Now, it's my turn to ask the questions dear."
I gave an exasperated sigh, but let him continue. It looked like I wasn't going to get out of this situation anytime soon.
"Do you remember when we first met?" Tristan started slowly, looking upset from the memories. "How I told you that only one person could ever have the eyesite to see you?"
Yes, I do remember what he's talking about. I had just met him and he had told me all of this.
I nodded, staying silent. I kind of didn't want to ruin the moment.
He looked up at me, his blue eyes shinning. "I love you, Amelia."
I sat there in shock. Did he just say what I think he said? He loved me... how? If he loved me, he wouldn't have of kidnapped me...
"I fell in love with you the day I met you," he continued. "I was heartbroken that you chose to leave with Klaus instead of me. So I began plotting my revenge against Klaus." He sighed, clearly upset. "I didn't want to hurt you, but you left me no choice."
"Tristian, why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked, my voice laced with confusion.
He shook his head. "I'm not answering that question.... Actually, yes I am. I was stupid. I figured a girl like you would never like a man like me. Stupid."
He stood up and flung an empty chair across the room.
I jumped a little, totally not seeing this coming.
"Tristian!" I yelled as he flung another empty chair. This one broke in two.
He looked at me, his vampire eyes and fangs visible. "Calm down!"
He stared at me for a second before racing out.
I hung my head and just thought about everything that just happened. Tristan just told me he loved me, but then why would he kidnap me? It doesn't make sense.
"Well this is a sight to see," an ancient sounding voice spoke up.
I looked up to see a brown haired, brown eyed man walking towards me.
"Dont worry, I'm here on behalf of Niklaus," he said. "My name is Lucien Castle, and I'm going to get you out of here."
He undid my hands from the ropes and then unbound Jackson. He had to carry him. We raced out at as fast as we could, using vampire senses. Next thing I know, were rounding the corner to Nik's palace.
"Thank you," I said as we walk through the front door.
I was met with six pair of curious eyes. Niklaus looked over my shoulder at Lucien and then smiled.
"I should've known it would've been you," he smirked.
I rolled my eyes. "Jackson was being filled with wolfsbane," I said. "He's going to go crazy when he wakes up."
"Who took you, Amelia?" Elijah asks calmly.
"Tristain," I spat out. Surprisingly, everyone was staying calm and I didn't get it. "Why is everyone so relaxed?" I blurt out.
Everyone swerved their gaze, looking everywhere except for at me. Finally, I met eyes with Elijah. There was a hidden emotion that flashed through his eyes, but I could see the worry clouding everything else. I blinked and looked away, embarrassed I let myself look at him for too long.
"One question," Kol asked, walking up next to me. "What exactly happened while you were there and what did he want?"
I rolled my eyes at the annoying vampire. "That wasn't one question, Kol."
The look on his face said he clearly wasn't amused and wanted an answer.
"Nothing happened," I say. "He never really told me why I was there."
Lucien looked like he was going to say something but I silenced him with my vampire face. He closed his mouth and crossed his arms over his chest.
"That bastard has been trying to hurt this family for years," Niklaus suddenly spoke up. "Ever since I left him in that barn that one night, he's done nothing but try to make my life a living hell."
"And why would he kidnap Amelia if he wanted to make you're life a living hell?" Kol asked, looking slightly amused. I wanted to wipe that look off his face with the back of my hand.
Niklaus took his time to think about it. "That's a good question, baby brother."
Kol didn't look so amused now that he was called a baby. It's true, he's the youngest boy in the Mikaelson family.
"This is all really confusing," a blonde haired chick, whom know didn't recognize said, walking towards Klaus.
Niklaus secretly edged away from her, and evil smile spreads across his face. "Lets try and play Tristain's little game, eh?" Everyone looked uneasy. "I mean, if we can play his game long enough to figure out what he's doing-"
"Then we can backtrack him," Elijah interrupted, finishing up for him.
"You guys always know how to solve the problem, don't you?" Lucien asked, shaking his head. He stood up and walked over to me. "I've never heard of you before, how come?"
I looked up at him. "Because Katherine killed me five hundred years ago."
Niklaus snarled. "I'll kill that bitch!"
Everyone looked slightly amused, but Elijah looked frustrated.
"Lets just worry about getting Tristain out our hair, yeah?" The blonde spoke up, trying to ease the tension.
Niklaus snarled, his vampire face showing and then Marcel walked in and all hell broke loose. And when I say hell, I mean Satan himself.
