Amelia POV
Just as I suspected, Niklaus took me from Elijah's arms and flung me across the room like I was a rag doll. I hissed in pain as I felt my spine shatter in two. I heard the growling of the two brothers fighting, but I couldn't see anything clearly. That was really something.
"Amelia?" Elijah soft voice called out from in front of me.
I saw his blurry face very close to mine.
"Elijah?" I whispered, trying to reach out to him.
He scooped me up into his arms bridal style and carried me upstairs to his room. He laid me on his bed carefully and sat down next to me.
"I snapped Niklaus's neck," Elijah explained. "He's probably going to have some serious rage when he wakes up. I want you to stay away from him, Amy."
I shook my head. "I can take care of myself, Elijah. Don't forget I dealt with all of this while you were lo ked up in a coffin five hundred years ago."
Elijah flinched at the thought of being in a coffin, but quickly recovered. "At least stay away from him until your back heals."
I forced my inner werewolf to heal my back faster, so I didn't reply to Elijah. It took a moment, but my wolf answer my prayers and healed my back into good condition.
"That didn't take as long as I expected," I said, sitting up and leaning against the headboard slightly.
"Because you used your wolf," Elijah commented.
My eyes flash open and look directly into his brown orbs. "H-how did you know?"
"I'm an Original, Amelia," he chastised. "Don't forget that."
I sighed and closed my eyes again. "Are you tired?" I hear him ask.
I don't open my eyes this time. "Sort of," I whispered, feeling myself wanting to drift off.
My eyes snapped open when I suddenly lifted into the air. He pulled back his blankets and put me underneath them. He climbed in, but on top of the sheets. He pulled me closer to him, his arm around my waist. He burried his head in my hair.
I snuggled closer to him, my hands wrinkling up his shirt to his suit. He didn't protest so I didn't pull away. I quickly fell asleep snuggled up in Elijah's arms. I think I'm in love...*Next Day*
I woke up to a bright light and groaned. I flung my arm across my eyes, trying to block the light out. I hear a chuckle next to me and peek out from under my arm to see Elijah watching me with amusement clear in his eyes.
I roll my blue orbs and grunt as I sit up.
"I am so not ready to start the day," I groan, shuffling towards his bathroom. I splashed water on my face and run some water over my hair to fluff down the mufassa stuff I got going on.
"I don't think you ever are, Amelia!" Elijah called out from a distance.
I figured he was in his closet. I giggled at his disgruntled voice and rolled my eyes.
I shut off the water and made my way out to his room. His closet doors were open and his bare back was facing me. I could see his muscles tense in his back.
I rolled my eyes and made my way to the door, but before I could open it, a shirtless Elijah stood in front of it.
I stopped in my tracks and gave him a confused look.
"I don't want you go out there without me," he said quietly. "Niklaus, remember?"
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Elijah, it's fine. I can take care of myself. I did before, remember?"
He closed his eyes briefly. "I know. But now you've got me, Ams."
I widened my eyes in shock at the nickname. The only other person that gave me a nickname was my mom and that was Amy. I slowly let a smile slide into place.
"Nice nickname," I say. "Anyways, I'll wait for you."
With a sigh, he returns to his closet. I wait really fifteen minutes before he finally comes back towards the door.
"Talk about taking forever," I muttered, rolling my blue orbs.'
He sent a small smirk in my direction before returning his attention to buttoning up his shirt.
With another roll of my eyes, I yank open his bedroom door and make my way downstairs. I can hear him muttering to himself in his room, but ignore him.
"Looks like someone finally came out of my brothers room," Kol said from the living room couch with a smug smile across his lips.
I stopped walking long enough for me to glare at him before making my way to the kitchen. I was cooking eggs when Niklaus walked in. He paused when he saw me cooking.
"Good morning!" I said cheerfully.
He looked taken back by my reply, but shook his head. "Morning," he grumbles. He takes a carton of milk out of the fridge and drinks it straight out of the carton.
"Pig," I said with fake disgust just as Elijah walks through the door.
Both brothers chuckle.
"Elijah," Niklaus says, giving him a menacing glare.
I roll my eyes before placing the fried eggs on three different plates. I hand one to Niklaus, Elijah and then I dig into my own. I wash down the eggs with orange juice before washing the dishes.
"You act like your a wife or something," Niklaus commented, throwing away the carton of empty milk. "It's rather creepy."
I laugh with embarrassment before continuing to wash them. After I finished, I lounged on the couch with Elijah, completely bored out of my mind.
We were talking about different movies when Marcel and Lucien walked through the door together.
"Morning!" They waved to us.
I waved back, smiling.
Elijah grunted in reply, astoundingly unhappy. I honestly didn't get his mood swings, it was like he was bipolar. A bipolar vampire, who knew?
"Anyone seem Niklaus around?" Marcel asked, eyes darting around the place. Lucien relaxed in the leather chair opposite from the couch.
"Don't be so awkward," Lucien said. "It's just plain out..." he searched for the right word. "Well, awkward."
Elijah slightly chuckled beside me and I mentally smiled. Something has been bothering him, and frankly, it was bothering me that he was bothered.
"I'm not being awkward," Marcel protests. "We just really need to speak with-"
"Me, yes I know!" Niklaus exclaims, rushing into the room. "Let's go talk in the garden!"
They rush off, Niklaus growling under his breath. I shake my head and pull my knees up to my chest. A hundred thoughts were running through my head at once, I didn't even notice Elijah was trying to talk to me.
"Amelia!" Elijah snaps, waving a hand in my face.
I blink and blankly stare at him. "Sorry, what?"
He laughs and says, "I asked you if you wanted to do anything, but you weren't paying attention."
"Oops," I mutter under my breath. "Sorry. I was thinking."
Elijah laughs again, this time longer than before. "Is there anything you'd like to do? Or are you going to sit here on the couch all day?"
I mused over this, thinking of anything. "I haven't actually been around town."
Elijah stands up, a slight smirk plastered on his peachy lips. "Then how about I take you touring?"
I look up at him with wide eyes, hope drowning me inside out. "Really?" I blurt out before I could stop myself.
He chuckled. "Of course, Ams. Let's go."
I stand up with a smile. This has to be one of my best days of my life. Ever.
