Amelia POV
I knew that as soon as I got home, they were going to give it to me. I was pretty sure it was Elijah who was going to give me the most trouble, but instead it was Nicklaus.
"Do you not understand the complete danger you put yourself through, Amelia?" Nicklaus asked, his voice rising with his temper. "I cannot tell you things like this enough! What were you thinking running off without one of us to protect you!?"
"I'm not the little girl you make me out to be," I say, crossing my arms. "I've been taking care of myself ever since you ran off that one day and never came back, Nicklaus. So back off."
"I'm only trying to protect you," Klaus said. "You don't understand what your capable of, Amy."
"Actually, I do."
I didn't actually mean it, I just wanted to see what his reaction would be. I didn't think he'd go off and be a pissed off.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" He screamed, his hybrid eyes flashing back and forth across the room. He ran his hands through his hair.
"Do you even know what the hell happened?" I asked Klaus as the rest of the Mikaelson family walked into the parlor area.
Klaus paused. "What did happen?"
I took in a deep breath. "I ran into Tristan." As soon as his name left my mouth, Elijah was right next to me. I looked up at him, confused.
"What did he want?" Elijah asked, staring at me.
Now it was my turn to look up at him. I hesitated. "H-he uh..."
"Amelia," Elijah warned. "Tell me, now."
I took in a deep breath and sighed.
"He said that he was back and I asked why and he said why do you think and then I went all witchy on him," I explained in one big breath.
Elijah raised his eyebrows, probably expecting more.
"And then I ran back here. " I continued, not making eye contact with either of them, but Elijah especially. I wasn't making eye contact with Niklaus because he'd immediate know something else is up if I looked at either of them.
"Amelia, what else is there?" Elijah asked, trying to look me in the eyes.I turned away. "Nothing," I muttered. "It's nothing you guys need to worry about."
"Bull shit!" Elijah snapped, his vampire eyes flashing out.
I noticed Klaus leaving the room. Thanks, friend.
"What does it matter to you?" I asked after a moment of silence.
"I didn't want it to be like this," Elijah says, walking closer to me. "I want a relationship with you, because you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Amy."I looked up into his eyes, his beautiful brown eyes. I looked down after three seconds.
"It didn't work out," was my excuse. "I'm sorry, but a relationship is out of the question."Elijah stopped advancing towards me. "What happened with Tristan, Amelia?"
My eyes widened. "Nothing, like I said earlier."Elijah dead stared at me for a few moments. "Amelia, I don't know what the hell is going on because I don't read minds, so can you please tell me what's going on?"
I didn't answer. At all. I was dead silent.
"I'm sorry," I replied. "That's my business and I'm not quite ready to share it yet. I need some time to myself right now."
Elijah blinked, apparently not understanding what I'm saying. "Am-"
"No," I interrupted. "We need to get something straight, okay? I am my own person and there is nothing you can do to change that. I love you, Elijah. I honestly still love you, but time and space is all that I need right now."
"That's all I've given you!" Elijah lashed out, his vampire side showing.
I literally jumped back a whole two feet away from him. My eyes were wide, my heart was racing and I didn't know what to do next.
Elijah didn't say anything, he just stared at me dead eyed.
"Is there something going on here?" Niklaus asked as he walked into the room.
I was about to answer, when Elijah beat me to it.
"There is nothing going in in here that is within the boundaries of your buisness," he says rudely.
Niklaus stares at his younger brother for a very long time, no emotion shown on his face. "I was just concerned you guys were arguing yet again," he says simply. "Just being a concerned family memeber."
Elijah stayed silent the whole time, his eyes never moving off of Nik.
"I would like to talk to you later, brother," Elijah says as Nik starts to walk away.
I took this time to assess the situation I was in. I can use my vampire speed to race to my room, but no doubt Elijah will follow me. I can also use my vampire speed to leave the house. The second was the better option.
I turn and race out of the house quickly, never looking back. I could hear Elijah growling furiously, but I didn't dare look back. This was my only chance to escape the wrath of my ex and it was the best in every way.
"Good riddance," I told myself as I zoomed through the forest quickly and quietly.
"Good riddance is correct," a deep voice sounded off in the distance. It sounded very familiar, although I cannot place it.
As I was about to decide who it was, Stefan Salvatore stepped out from behind a tree about fifty feet away.
"What are you doing out here, Stefan?" I asked him quietly, and stopped running around.
