Amelia POV
I was just about to sit down and enjoy my book when Elijah peacefully walked into the room. I looked up, but it didn't seem like he noticed my presence. I smirk as I watch him walk pass, he seemed to be thinking about something extremely hard.
I sort of scoffed and that seemed to catch his attention. He quickly snapped his head towards me. I slightly widened my eyes and quickly flickered them back down to my book.
I didn't say anything and frankly, neither did he.
"Were you there the whole time?" He suddenly asks, seeming really confused.
I closed my eyes briefly before opening them and looking back up at him. "Yes, Elijah. I've actually been here for four hours now."
He frowned, catching onto my annoyed tone. "Who pissed you off?"
I roll my eyes. "Just because I'm annoyed doesn't mean someone pissed me off," I snapped.
I saw his shocked face and immediately regretted saying anything. "Sorry. I'm sorry. I- I'm having a really bad day. I know it's not an excuse for anything, but I -"
"Amelia," Elijah cuts me off and walks over to me. "It's alright," he says, kneeling down in front of me. "What's going on?"
I sighed and closed the book. "Honestly it's nothing. It's just been a bad day for me."
He furrowed his eyebrows, looking up at me like I'm insane.
I was about to add on something else when Niklaus suddenly raced into the room using his hybrid speed.
"I am just going to say this once," he said in his menacing tone. "If I ever catch you trying to kiss Hayley again, you're going to be sorry." His eyes were practically glaring daggers at Elijah.
That struck me home. I thought Elijah liked me, because I sure as hell liked him. He even asked me out on a date, even though we really didn't get to enjoy altogether because of Tristan!
"I wasn't aware she was any of youre concern anymore, Niklaus," Elijah stated calmly, standing up and putting his hands in his suit pockets.
I wanted to Alpha the man for leading me on and going off and kissing other girls.
"I don't know what this is all about," I said, trying to play it cool. "But I don't want to be a part of it, so good bye."
I turned to leave, but Niklaus called out my name. "Actually, Amelia. I believe this has to deal with you..." he trailed off. I tensed as he said the next words. "Why didn't you tell any of us that the reason Tristan kidnapped you was to confess his love towards you?"
I froze, muscles flexed and tensed and didn't move. I didn't even breath, I was a frozen statue. How the hell did he even find out? Nobody knows besides me, and Tristan of course. That bastard must've told him.
I realized I could play it cool and act like I didn't know anything, but I've been frozen for too long. Might as well give it a shot.
I took in a big gulp of air and turned to face the angry looking brothers. "I don't know what you're talking about," I simply stated.
Niklaus narrowed his eyes. I'm pretty sure he heard my heartbeat. I didn't dare look at Elijah.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Amelia."
I sighed. "Look, it's not your problem. It's mine. If I wanted to tell you, Would've told you but this one kind of struck home alright?"
Niklaus seemed confused at my words. "Why would it have struck home, Amelia?"
I run my hands through my hair. "Honestly, I don't know why it did but when he told me it was like I was missing something else. Like something else wasn't being said. I don't know."
I threw my hands up in the air before racing off. Undoubtedly, Niklaus would catch up to me before I could get very far.
I ran as fast as I could, hurrying. I was fifty feet into the New Orleans woods when I realized nobody was following me. I guess I'm not that important to Niklaus's team after all. I slumped against a tree and let my emotions cloud my vision. I sat there and cried.

Elijah POV
Time seemed to stop when Niklaus asked the most unbelievable question.
"Actually, Amelia," he said in a rather condescending tone. "I believe this has to do with you..." he trailed off, watching as Amelia tenses. Her muscles freeze in place. "Why didn't you tell any of us that the reason Tristan kidnapped you was to confess his love towards you."
I blocked everything else out as soon as Niklaus was done speaking. Tristan? In love with Amelia? Perhaps I should've seen it coming, she is a rather ravishing creature.
I couldn't understand it, I though we liked each other. I unblocked everything just as she vampire sped out of here. I leaned forward to follow her but my brother gripped my arm to stop me.
"Leave her alone, brother," he said quietly. "I know how she gets like this... trust me."
I sighed but turned into the opposite direction. I headed up to my room, locked the door and flopped on my bed.
What have I done?

Amelia POV
I had been sitting there for two days. I had counted the sundown and I was growing tired and hungry. I decided I could hide from Elijah and Niklaus forever, so I made my back to their house slowly.
I used human speed instead of vampire, because I wanted time to think about what I should say to them once I get there. I wasn't really come up with anything, actually. I was failing at thinking of anything right now and it was sort of upsetting.
I sighed as I walked throught the back door of Niklaus's home and prepared myself for questions, but nobody seemed to be around.
I decided to risk it a human sped toward my room. I was on the spiraling staircase when I suddenly shoved up against the wall. I looked directly into the fumming brown eyes of the oldest original vampire.
"Where the hell have you been?" Elijah snarls in my face, his vampire face showing.
I rolled my eyes and shoved him away from me. I continued up the staircase, my mind slowly easing itself into comfort.
Elijah gripped my arm above my elbow and yanked me to a halt. "Amelia!" He exclaimed.
I turned around and faced him, snarling. "What?" I growl, fangs dropping.
He frowned and didn't say anything.
I took a deep breath before turning back around. I was attempting to move, but Elijah's grip was too tight.
"Elijah," I said without turning to face him. "Let me go, please."
I didn't feel his grip loosen and he didn't say anything. I slowly turned to face him and I could barely blink before his lips crashed onto mine.
I widened my eyes in surprise and momentarily froze. I totally didn't expect that. I slowly melted into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck and ruffling his hair a bit. He enclosed his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.
Unfortunately, we ended up having to breath, so we pulled away.
"I was worried about you," Elijah whispered, leaning his forehead against mine. "You have no idea the hell I went through."
I closed my eyes and briefly enjoyed the moment, because I was pretty sure it was about to be ruined.
As if on que, Niklaus stepped into the room.
"Amelia Claire!" He growled, his hybrid face showing.
Shit. I was in for it.
