Elijah POV
I had been going insane the whole time Amelia had been kidnapped. The only person that could tell I was out of my mind was Niklaus.
"I'm really hoping I can get my hands on that bastard," Niklaus spat. "He has the nerve to kill my only successfully completed hybrid!"
He shoved a lamp off of a table in the living room and kept pacing. Lol peered around the corner, shrugged and then walked off. I continued reading my book, minding my own business. If Niklaus wanted to wreck his own place, I won't stop him.
"What the hell is going on in here?" A familiar feminine voice spoke up.
My head snapped up, looking directly into her baby blue eyes.
"Ignore his prudent state," I immediately said. "He's burning off his anger."
Amelia looked at Niklaus for a quick second before looking back to me. "Interesting," she muttered.
She gave Niklaus one last look before turning on her heel and walking out. I watched her walk away, mesmerized.
"Go talk to her," Niklaus suddenly said. "I know you like her. So, try and talk to her."
I shook my head. "I'm too foolish to try, Niklaus."
Niklaus muttered something under his breath that even my vampire hearing couldn't hear. And Originals have much better hearing than a newborn vampire.
"Talk to her," Niklaus said again. "I know both of you are beginning to like each other and you probably won't get another chance, brother."
I mused over this, thinking over my options. If I don't do it now, I could risk her finding another man. If I do, I could risk getting rejected. I decided the latter was my better option. So what if I get rejected? At least I put my feelings out there instead of hiding them like I did with Katerina.
I slammed my book shut and made my way upstairs to her room. I knocked on her door three times before I let myself in.
She was sitting at her desk, clearly writing in her diary.
"Oops," I say. "I'm sorry. Are you busy? If you're busy I can wait until later..."
She smiled and tucked the diary in her desk drawer. "I was just finishing up, actually."
I closed the door after me and put my hands in my pockets, awkwardly standing there.
"I've been meaning to talk to you," I said. Well, no duh Elijah! Get your stuff together man!
She sat down on the edge of her bed. "Okay," she mummered, eyebrows raised.
I sigh about to begin my speech when I stopped myself. Why speak when I can show?
In a second I was in front of her. She stood up, mixed emotions in her eyes. I couldn't hold myself back anymore. I leaned down and smashed my lips against hers. She stayed in shock for a second and then slowly kissed me back. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she tangled hers in my hair.
After a moment, we pulled away.
"I didn't see that coming," Amelia says, breathless.
I smile down at her. "I've been wanting to do that for a while now."
She smirked up at me. "Oh really, Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes?"
I laughed at the nickname. "Yes really, Miss. Know-It-All."
She scoffed. "Naturally anybody would say that."
I smiled on behalf of my happiness. "Would you like to go out for dinner, Amelia?"
She looked up at me. "Really?" She asked brightly.
I nodded. "Yes, Ma'am."
She jumped up with joy. "Yay! Get out so I can get dressed!" She shoved me out her bedroom and shut the door.
I chuckled and went back downstairs.
"I take it that went well?" Niklaus asks, whiskey in hand and leaning into the couch.
I sighed. "Fortunately, yeah."
Niklaus nodded. "Good luck, bro."
I rolled my eyes but my mood stayed overjoyed. I just kissed the girl of my dreams. And I just asked her out on an official date. What more could I ask for?

Amelia POV
I was so surprised when he asked me out for dinner, I couldn't help but act like a little child. I bounced around my room, looking for the perfect outfit. I settled on black jeans, a floral long sleeve shirt and black knee high boots. I slipped my favorite leather jacket on. I was about to head out the door when my cellphone starts to ring.
I didn't recognize the number, but I answered it anyways.
"Hello?" I asked on a much annoyed tone.
"I see you're happy to talk to me," an all too familiar voice said on the other side of the line.
"Tristain?" I asked hesitantly.
He sighed. "Of course, Amelia. Who else would it be?"
I snorted. "Look, I don't have the time to talk to you at this exact moment. Maybe I can call you back tomorrow morning?"
He sounded frustrated when he spoke. "Don't worry about it. I just wanted to make sure this was the right number. Wait for my call, understand?"
I was confused, but said yes anyways. I stood there for a moment, trying to process things. How did Tristain have my number? Why do I have to wait for his call? And why did he tell me to not worry about it?
An idea popped in my head. He's going to kidnap me again. Because he's spying, or someone here is spying for him.
"Elijah!" I called, racing down the steps at human speed.
He turned the corner, wearing his usual black suit and tie.
"What's wrong, Amelia?" Elijah asked, his forehead wrinkles with concern.
"I think he's watching us," I breathed when I reached the bottom of the stairs.
Elijah scrunched up his nose and snarled under his breath. He disappeared for a moment before returning. He picked me up in his arms and flew at vampire speed to the living room. The whole Mikaelson Family was there, including Hayley, Hope, Jackson, Lucien and Camille.
"We're in trouble," Elijah spoke up and all heads turned towards us...
