Turns out that punk kid with the killer nosebleed has a name. Well, a number.
Eleven.
While she was already up-to-date with everything that had happened in her town right under her nose last year, this was definitely not how she imagined the girl to be.
Hopper took Mike into another room, where the group could hear yelling through the thin walls. Cassie opted to stand by Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan. Steve's arm almost instinctively going around Cass's shoulders, bringing her shaky body as close to his as possible.
Eleven went around the room, hugging Lucas and Dustin tightly, blood still under her nose. Cassie winced as Max went up to her, introducing herself, looking dejected when Eleven pushed past her, ignoring her hand.
Eleven's eyes met Cassie's, walking so she was directly in front of the older girl. Eleven smiled tightly, putting a hand up to Cassie's face, "Pretty."
Cassiopeia couldn't help the grin that came to her lips, raising a hand to Eleven's face, the younger girl not flinching, but looking confused. "Pretty." Cassie asserted, making Eleven's face light up in appreciation, tears prickling at her eyes. Cass looked over at Nancy with wide eyes when Eleven lunged forward, hugging the girl tightly as if they didn't just meet. Cass, of course, hugged back, careful of the bandage wrapped tightly around her arm, an alarming amount of blood already soaking through.
Wiping her eyes, Eleven then turned to Joyce Byers. Cassie smirked, turning her head up to Steve, his arm still around her shoulder. "Hear that, Harrington? I'm pretty."
"You're just realizing this?" Steve replied cheekily, causing the shorter girl's cheeks to flame, jabbing him in the side, but the grin on her face was obvious. "Shut it, Harrington."
The group huddled around the kitchen table, watching Eleven speak to Joyce. "You opened this gate before, right?" Joyce asked, pointing to the words 'close gate' on the cardboard.
It looked like it was painful for Eleven to answer, "Yes." Joyce persisted, gently. "D-Do you think if we got you back there you could close it?"
The determination in her eyes was enough of an answer for Joyce, who quickly got Jim Hopper, the group of them filling him in on their plan to get Eleven to close the gate.
Hopper sighed at them, running a hand down his face. "It's not like it was before. It's grown." He paused. "A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."
Dustin turned around, looking at Hopper, correcting him. "Demo-dogs."
Sharing a look with Steve, Cass laughed nervously, "Dust, now's not really the time-"
